Workshop Sessions 1 & 2, April 17 1A 2A Shift Happens: Learning for Some vs. Learning for ALL, with Kenneth C. Williams Kenneth Williams, PLC Associate, Solution Tree Why do some schools seem to show steady progress implementing Professional Learning Communities, while others seem to stall? Some believe successful schools are lucky, located the ‘right area,’ or have access to better teachers, better leaders, or great funding. While a variety of factors can influence the creation of the PLC culture, by far one of the biggest differences between schools that thrive and those that barely survive is recognizing the subtle shifts in practice that make seismic differences; the paradigm shifts that determine whether schools have a culture of learning for some or a culture of learning for all. Ken Williams will help make clear the shifts required to move your school in the direction of high levels of learning for every child.
