2014 was a busy year for FN! Not only did we celebrate our 125th anniversary, but we also completed the consolidation of our U.S. operationsFN Manufacturing, LLC in Columbia, South Carolina, and FNH USA, LLC in McLean, Virginiainto one entity, FN America, LLC. Since doing so, we have seen great strengths emerge from these two legacy organizations, which will help us better serve our customers in the years to come.

We have come a long way since producing our first M240s for the U.S. military in 1981. Production at our Columbia, South Carolina facility has grown steadily over the years and today, we make M4/M4A1 carbines, M16 rifles, MK19 grenade machine guns, M249 SAW, MK46, MK48, M240, M240C, M240D, M240E1, M240H, M240B, and M240L machine guns. In addition, FN America also builds commercial handguns including the

FNX Series of hammer-driven pistols, the FNS Series of striker-fired pistols, and the FN 15 Series of modern sporting rifles.

2015 promises to be just as exciting. We are continuing to round out the FNH USA brand and are pleased to introduce two new variants of our popular FNS Series of handgunsthe FNS-9 Compact and the FNS-40 Compact. Also new for 2015 are four additions to our FN 15 Seriesthe FN 15 DMR, FN 15 Sporting, FN 15 Tactical Carbine and the FN 15 Patrol Carbine.

This [FN] SCAR and I were put through one of the worst combat scenarios in Afghanistan...I took cover in a muddy s#*t hole. Through the entire firefight, the rifle did not malfunction once.

ACTIVE-DUTY OPERATOR'S FN SCAR MK 17 AIR FORCE SPECIAL OPERATIONS UNIT

Multiple enemy combatants were involved, as well as both U.S. and coalition troops, with close air support also involved. Many of those fighting were KIA (killed in action) or WIA (wounded in action). I do not have an exact round count that I used, but it was at least eight fully-loaded magazineshalf of which were used after I took cover in a muddy s#*t hole. Through the entire firefight, the rifle did not malfunction once. Not one failure of any type! My survival literally hinged on the performance of my [FN] SCAR.

During an incredibly intense battle that lasted a lot longer than the typical TIC (troops in contact) situation, this [FN] SCAR (at left) and I were put through one of the worst combat scenarios in Afghanistan you can imagine.

Dave Sevigny is a world champion and household name in shooting sports. In fifteen seasons from 1999-2013, Dave won more than 200 major championships with the overall high score in defensive pistol, International Practical Shooting Confederation, NRA Action Pistol, Steel Challenge and United States Practical Shooting Association. Dave is a five-division USPSA Grand Master class competitor and is the most accomplished USPSA National Champion in Production and Limited-10 division.

During his time in defensive pistol, Dave won more national championships than any other competitor from 2000-2010. In 2011, Dave became an 11-Time USPSA National Champion and is the only person to win a USPSA National Championship in nine consecutive seasons (2003-2011). After the 2013 season ended, it was announced by USPSA that Dave is one of four shooters selected to represent the USA Standard division team at the triennial IPSC World Championship.

With more than 100 years of firearm design and manufacturing expertise, FN has optimized integration of the suppressor into the system, ensuring the firearm function and reliability are maintained, while sound and flash are reduced.

Originally developed for military applications, FN QD Suppressors are designed for heavy use with the FN SCAR and FN belt-fed machine gun platforms. Produced with high-strength nickel alloy and stainless steel, the suppressors are durably constructed for severe service. The FN QD 701 was originally developed for SOCOMs Small Arms Signature Program for the MK48 7.62 Medium Machine Gun and is a currently supplied 7.62mm suppressor, national stock number 1005-01-598-2682.

The suppressor securely clamps onto the proprietary flash hider through the use of three internal locking bars that cam into position when the locking collar is rotated forward. Firearm accuracy is maintained as a result of precise engineering. The FN QD 702 and FN QD 502 have a unique aligning feature to ensure the point of impact shift is consistent.

A. Safety and Cocking DeviceThis system incorporates safety mechanisms in the recocking device so that there are no chambered rounds until the system is engaged to fire. The machine gun can always be recocked in flight without limitation. B. Ammunition BoxThe FN HMP250 (250-round capacity) or FN HMP400 (400-round capacity) ammunition box is reversible and allows feeding from the left or right side. Its design guarantees smooth movement of the ammunition belt with no risk of jamming or fouling due to aircraft maneuvers or acceleration. C. Boresighting DeviceAn elevation and azimuth adjustment device enables the gun to match the carrier aircrafts optical sighting line.

D. Soft MountThe recoil forces that occur when the weapon is fired can be a source of structural fatigue on the carrier aircraft and can also reduce the precision of the gun. In FN pods the machine gun is fitted on a soft mount that absorbs the recoil forces. E. Spent Links and Fired Cases CollectorAll of the cases and links are collected in the removable Links and Case Collector (LCC).
