Israel Aircraft Industries – MALAT Division

The Searcher Mk II is a multi mission tactical UAV system used for surveillance, reconnaissance, target acquisition, artillery adjustment and damage assessment. The Searcher Mk II payloads are: Electro Optical (TV & IR Combi or

Triple Sensor TV/IR/LD) and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR).

Each UAV has one S14 splitter (S14-A00-E-PMS38999/5-SF). The UAV has redundant avionics which includes 2 navigation sensors (INS/GPS) and 2 x Novatel GPS cards in the mission computer. Therefore it needs total 4 x

GPS inputs. 60 units were supplied in May 2011 and additional 60 will be supplied in 2012.

Israeli Army – Merkava Battle Tank

Merkava Mk4 represents the third evolutionary phase of the Merkava program. The tank is equipped with a modern fire control and sighting system which includes computerized ballistic calculations and compensations, a dual axes stabilized gunner sight and a dual axis stabilized commander panoramic sight, both equipped with an advanced FLIR and TV channels for day and night operation. The tank also utilize the Battle Management System (BMS) designed by Elbit Systems' ElOp - the system is providing fast communication networking between the commander and subordinate units, and enables the crew to plan missions, navigate and continuously update their situation awareness. There is a GPS Splitter (S14-A10-E-HS-PMS38999-20WA98P/5-TF) in the tank. The GPS splitter provides signals for both the GPS receiver (dual redundant) and the Navigation system (dual redundant) in the tank. 40 units were supplied in August 2011.

Elbit Systems – BMS for the Royal Netherland Army

Elbit Systems supply battle management systems to the Royal Netherlands Army's (RNLA) Ground Forces that include Enhanced Tactical Computers - ETCs, incorporating Tactical Communication Devices, and Data Communication Software. The systems are installed in more then 1800 of the RNLA's vehicles, including tanks, armoured vehicles and others. The project involves extensive cooperation with the Netherlands MoD's C2 Support Centre. Under the scope of this project Elbit purchased in year 2008, 565 GPS Splitters (S14-A00-E-HS-PMS38999/5-TF).
