Jalen “Jay” Savon McGlockling

The amazing life of Jalen Jay McGlockling began on

May 23, 1994 to Barry and Lashunda McGlockling. He de-

parted to his heavenly home on April 13, 2014.

Jalen was a graduate of Franklin County High School,

class of 2012. Electrolux in Anderson, SC. employed Jalen.

At a childhood age, he became a member of St. Mary’s CME

Church.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed the game of basketball and

spending times with his friends and enjoying his young teen-

age life. Jay was an amazing brother to his younger brother

Jarious who he loved dearly. Jay’s whole motto to life was to

crack a joke and to make you laugh even on your worst day.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his father and

mother, Barry and Lashunda McGlockling; brother Jarious

McGlockling; two grandmothers: Glenda Williams of Salis-

bury, NC and Bessie McGlockling of Royston, GA; grandfa-

ther Mike Jones of Athens, GA; also aunts, uncles, cousins

and other relatives and friends.

Our Darling Jay:

Today brings us both joy and sadness. Sadness to know that

you are not here in flesh but joy to know that our father wanted

someone as special as you. You have brought us so many fond

and joyous memories. The world was lit up because of your wit-

ty and over the top character. Our lives have been changed but

just remember that you are one of the best blessing that God

has ever given us. We love you now and forever more. Rest in

peace our daring baby boy.
