• Objective – facilitate FINANCIAL INCLUSION through literacy and financial service to Marginal farmers & landless labor, Migrants, Urban slum dwellers, Self-employed, Unorganized industry, Women and old people)
• Short term plan – o Educate masses - about management of money, importance of savings, advantages of saving with banks,
benefits of borrowing from banks o Enable financial planning – to help people plan ahead of time for their life cycle needs and deal with
unexpected emergencies without resorting to debt o Improve understanding of financial products – eg. Overdraft facility, recurring deposit, KCC, GCC,
remittance facility o Liaise with banks to connect masses with formal financial system
• Long term goal – o To make the workshop a mandatory aspect of school curriculums and make every individual in this
country financially literate o To ensure each household has at least one bank account
