• Created by Order September 21, 2011• Annual Meeting Held November 7, 2011• Assessment Notices sent Jan. 3, 2012
Number of Ground Water Rights & Wells Included in District
• About 712 ground water rights total
• About 687 unique well locations total– 470 ground water rights & 410 wells with irrigation
use > 5 acres and/or diversion rate > 0.24 cfs– 242 ground gw rts & 227 wells w/irrig use <= 5 ac– Total water rights cfs (gross) ≈ 800 cfs
Note: Does not include gw rights admin. by WD37
Measurement Requirements
• Submit measurement plans to district by May 1, 2012– For irrigation uses > 5 acres– For non-irrigation uses > 0.24 cfs
(municipal, commercial etc.)

• Install measuring devices in 2013 – For irrigation uses > 5 acres (by Irrig. Season)– For non-irrigation uses > 0.24 cfs
(by 1/1/2013)

Measurement Standards for Closed Conduit
• Magnetic flow meter – For irrigation uses > 5 acres & non-irrigation
uses > 0.24 cfs– Variance can be considered for other meters
or methods upon submittal of measurement plans
Measurement Standards – Closed Conduit
• IDWR will likely adopt additional standards and other meter options for irrigation uses of 5 acres or less and/or small diameter pipe– Other meter options = lower cost– Goal: have standards in place later this year
