Neckband Using 4mm (US G6) hook and yarn A, make 80 ch. Row 1 (RS): 1 ch ( does not count as a st), 1 dc into each dc to end, turn. Row 2: 3 ch ( do not count as sts), 1 tr into 4 th dc, 1 tr into each dc to end, turn. Row 3: 1 ch ( does not count as st), 1 dc into each dc to end, turn. Row 4: 1 ch (does not count as st), 1dc into each dc to end, 8 ch, ss into 1 st st of row 1 (to make button loop). Sew pearl bead button to opposite end of neckband. This design consists of 35 flowers in 3 different sizes. Use various yarns and hook sizes as listed above. You may wish to layer the flowers and edge with contrasting yarns. Small Flower (make 15) Using a smaller size hook make 2 ch. Round 1 (RS): 6 dc into 1 st ch. Round 2: 2 dc into each dc. 12 sts. Round 3: (4 ch, miss 1 dc, ss into next dc) 5 times. Round 4: 6 dc into 1 st ch sp, 5 dc into each ch sp, ss to next st. Fasten off. Medium Flower (make 10) Using a medium size hook make 2 ch. Round 1 (RS): 6 dc into 1 st ch. Round 2: 2 dc into each dc. 12 sts. Round 3: 2 dc into each dc. 24 sts. Round 4: (6 ch, miss 3 dc, ss into next dc) 5 times. Round 5: 8 dc into each ch sp, ss to next st. Fasten off.
