Looped-End Wet Mops vs. Cut-End Wet MopsCut-End mops appear to be a better buy as the initial cost is lower, but because of the Looped-End mop’s longevity and durability, it is a better overall value. In-use studies have shown that ONE SSS Super-Sorb Looped-End Mop will outlast EIGHT 4-ply cotton cut-end mops. Plus, the Super-Sorb Mop cleans twice the area in the same amount of time. If your staff is mopping 5,600 sq.ft./day you will save about $2,600 (labor savings) annually by changing from a Cut-End to a Looped-End mop!

Wet mops are available with several time-saving options – each suited to a particular need. Consider these options to get the best value for the intended application.

Sta-FlatSta-Flat fi xtures give the mop great maneuverability and performance. This simple design helps the mop lay fl at on the fl oor to improve coverage. Detachable, interchangeable screw-on handles are used with Sta-Flat fi xtures.

Yarn PlyTriple S offers mops in various yarn plies. Most mops are made with 4-ply or 8-ply yarn. Lower ply yarn will handle light to medium-duty mopping and is excellent for general maintenance. A higher ply yarn handles the most abrasive surface with ease. When choosing higher plies you receive the added strength, but sacrifi ce a degree of absorbency.

Cut-End mops offer narrow, uneven coverage.

Looped-End mops with tailbands cover a wider surface area evenly.

Yarn Advantage Disadvantage Application

Blends Blends combine several fi bers to create a balance for price, performance and durability.

May shrink unless pre-laundered.

Professional use where quality and price and less of an issue than performance and durability.

Cotton Absorbs and retains moisture. Lower purchase cost. Minimal shrinkage.

Proper maintenance will extend the life and improve the effi ciency of your mops.

Drying:Tumble at 120°F – 160°F until dry.

Longevity Tips:1. Briskly shake out excessive dust in mop head before washing. 2. Final rinse in water to remove alkali. 3. Excessive temperatures and drying times will cause rapid mop deterioration.

Microfi ber

Drying:Tumble at 120°F – 160°F until dry.

Longevity Tips: 1. Careful initial processing is essential for maximum mop head life. 2. All new mops should be processed separately, if possible, and overloaded 25 - 50% by weight. 3. The “break” operation should be reduced by 3/4, and maximum water temperature (160°F) used. 4. Rinses should be at a low level and the fi nal two rinses should be with cold water.

Drying: For best results, air dry microfi ber mops at 140˚F or less, until 25% moisture content or less.

Handling/Processing: 1. Do not use bleach to remove stains or for any other reason. Bleach will decrease the effectiveness and durability

of the microfi ber product. 2. Do not use fabric softener.3. Do not wash with terry towels, regular mops or any other products that will shed lint.

Note:Overtime, the use of harsh chemicals such as those contained in bleach and fabric softeners will reduce the performance and longevity of microfi ber mops.

Polyethyleneterephthalate or PET, is used for high-impact resistant containers. Everyday products such as soda and water bottles and many household products create PET waste. According to the Container Recycling Institute, more than 116 billion beverage cans and bottles are landfi lled, littered and incinerated annually. When we are able to take ordinary PET plastic bottles and turn them into high grade dust control products we make a signifi cant impact on everyday waste. Our Triple S Finish Mops are made with 42% post-consumer content, of that, 19% is PET plastic. We believe that every little bit counts, and we maintain the highest percentages of recycled content in our products.

Our mops not only contain high percentages of post-consumer cotton fi bers, but PET plastics as well. We are consistently looking for ways to refi ne manufacturing processes to both reduce and reuse waste whenever possible. By utilizing a vertically integrated mop process we are able to benefi t from the most ecofriendly products while maintaining excellent performance and durability. This is our commitment to the preservation of a healthy environment for all.
