The various technologies Liven Battery covering all applications and needs in the field of batteries: Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) system applications in both computer and production, renewable energy solar photovoltaic, wind, safety signs, telecommunications equipment, security and surveillance systems, defense applications, radio beacons, marine, electric vehicles, golf carts and cars, electromedicine to name a few applications.

Liven Battery OPzS Flooded Tubular Plate battery complies with Germany DIN40736-1 and IEC60896-11 standards, the product capacity ranges from min. 100 Ah for cells and min. 50 Ah for blocks to 3000Ah for both.

OPzS battery is the single cell construction, the nominal voltage is 2V. “OPzS” is the German abbreviation of “Ortsfest Panzerplatten Standard”-- means Stationary, Tubular Plate and Standard respectively. The positive plate is the tubular plate, the negative plate is pasted plate and the electrolyte is flooded. Take OPzS2-200 for example, the meaning of “OPzS” is as the following, 200 means the battery capacity 200 AH.

The OPzS battery’s chemical reaction is as below:

The OPzS battery’s negative plates adopt high purity Pb-Sb alloy which is good for battery cyclic charge and discharge.

During the process of the battery over charge or over discharge, the following side reaction will happen. Thus you need to maintain the battery by adding water during its operation.

During the process of the battery over charge or over discharge, the positive generates oxygen, while the negative generates hydrogen.

1. Battery Structure & Plate Design

2. Structure Features

• Electrolyte: The battery electrolyte is sulphuric acid.The liquid volume of the Flooded battery is much larger more than the low-liquid type and should be decided by the battery’s practical situation. Generally the Flooded battery cell is marked with a certain scale and the liquid level should not exceed the scale. The battery low-maintenance is achieved by equipping a sealing barrier on the liquid surface inside the battery cell, and setting a liquid injecting plug or an explosion-proof hydrogen-eliminator.

• Positive Plate: Tubular positive plates are made by die-casting technics and use patent Pb-Sb alloy, offering a long design life, low self-discharge and less water loss, therefore the battery is low-maintenance.

• Negative Plate: The formed pasted plate in radial porous pasted grid structure makes high utilization of active material and incorporating a special Pb-Sb grid alloy makes advantage performance in high current discharge.

• Separators: The microporous rubber separators, consisting of a phenolic resin over a polyester support mat, and the piercing plastic separators can avoid short circuit effectively.

• BatteryCase: The battery case is made of High impact resistant, transparent SAN (Styrene Acrylonitrile) and the internal state of the battery can be observed. The battery case structure is scientifically designed. The bottom saddle can prevent short circuit due to shedding of active material effectively. The battery cover is made of Robust ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) Material; flame-retardant only optionally. The whole battery case occupies little space and is good-looking and durable.

• Pole: The lead pole consists of the Copper-insert terminal with a very low resistance which is both mechanizing sealed and epoxy resin sealed--this sealing structure has good performance of sealing and longer service life.

• Acid Mist Proof Ceramic plugs: The battery is equipped with the special acid mist proof ceramics cap. The liquid injection tube goes to the liquid bottom. The liquid sealing design makes acid mist produced within the battery can only be filtered through the acid mist proof cap and prevent acid overflow and corrosion on the house or equipments. The hydrogen generated within thebattery is isolated by the acid mist proof cap and will not cause battery explosion in case of fire; it is safe and reliable.
