River Acres Flood Protection Construction Support Okeechobee County, Florida

Arc was tasked under its A/E contract for surveying and mapping services with the Jacksonville District Corp of Engineers to acquire topographic data, perform volume computations and provide mapping products for construction support of the River Acres Flood Protection Project located along the Kissimmee River in Okeechobee County, Florida. Survey task included a complete comprehensive Pre-Construction Survey, Interim Payment Surveys, and complete As-Built Surveys at the completion of construction. Field tasks included project control, topographic and hydrographic data acquisition along the existing seepage levee and tie-back levees. A comprehensive digital terrain model (DTM) was created utilizing MicroStations InRoads module. The survey results were utilized to verify that canal and levee modifications were constructed based on contract specifications and plans. In addition, Arc provided verification to contract pay items by quantifying construction placement volumes utilized for payment of construction. All data was formatted to the required digital files and mapped to the Tri-Service and District CADD Standards.
