What is flickr?

Flickr is an image and video hosting website and web services suite. Users can upload and organize photos they take to their “photo stream”, and the uploader can label photos with titles and descriptions. In my opinion, its concept is very similar to Instagram.

Who made flickr?

Flickr was originally created by a Canadian company called Ludicorp in 2004. Yahoo then bought the company for $35 million in 2005.

Who can use flickr?

Flickr is available to any Yahoo account owner. Unfortunately, because Yahoo owns the website, they have made it a requirement to have or make a Yahoo account in order to create a Flickr account.

Flickr has official mobile apps for iOS, Android, Playstation Vita, and Windows Phone. They also have an optimized mobile website

Flickr offers users the ability to either post their images for anyone to copy or use or label them as "all rights reserved”.
