With its clamp-on transducers and its rechargeable battery, it is an ideal tool for service work. Since the transducers are mounted on the pipe, they are not subject to wear and tear and can be installed rapidly, without cutting into the pipe and without process interrup- tion. The measurement causes no pressure loss and is suitable for all pressure stages. Chemically aggressive media are not a problem; there is no need for expensive materials. The transducers and their conduit are made of stainless steel and are suitable for use in harsh industrial environ- ment. Watertight transducer and integrated robust trans- ducer cables make it possible to obtain good measurement results over a long period of extensive usage. Thanks to their exceptional dual-μP technology with DSP, high number of measuring cycles per second and adap- tive signal processing, the FLUXUS ® G6725 flowmeter produces stable and reliable measuring results even under difficult conditions. The integrated flow calculator can perform a standard vol- umetric flow or mass flow correction according to ISO 12213-1. The connected process pressure and tempera- ture measurements are used for the calculation. All FLEXIM flow transducers for gases can be connected. Which gas transducers are appropriate for a particular application depends amongst others on the wall thick- ness, diameter and material of the pipe as well as on the gas flow velocity. FLUXUS® G6725 is a portable ultrasonic flowmeter. Withits clamp-on transducers and its rechargeable battery, it isan ideal tool for service work.

Flow transducersThe application of the gas flow transducers depends mainly on the following parameters: wall thickness, pipe diameterand material, flow velocity of the gas. The standard transducers (shear wave transducers, type GS) can be used in a widediameter range. Together with the flowmeter 6725, they are best choice for service, maintenance, trouble shooting andcheck of permanently installed instruments. The Lamb wave transducers (type GL), however, are adapted to a fixed wallthickness range. The are best applicable for the measurement at high flow velocities and of gases with high damping. Wewill assist you in the selection of appropriate transducers for your application. Our consulting engineers will be pleased tocounsel you.

Application Range of the Shearwave Transducers Important: The typical application range is valid for good measuring conditions with a flow velocity of 15 m/s in a pipewith a wall thickness of 40 mm and a number of sound paths of 1. The possible application range is valid for a numberof sound paths of 1. The upper limit of the pipe diameter range is reduced with increasing flow velocity.

Application Range of the Lamb Wave Transducers
