What is Flavorpill?
Flavorpill is a quickly growing, trusted online source of arts
and culture, publishing Flavorpill event guides in six cities
(NYC, LA, SF, Chicago, Miami and London), as well as the
Flavorwire blog and Daily Dose email, which focus on cultural
picks and news. Together, these sites and emails form a
dynamic, multi-channel arts and culture guide, which is bothlocal and national.
Flavorpill reaches a growing community over 1.5 million
cultural consumers, providing a platform to discover quality
arts, entertainment, and nightlife -- embracing the
underground, the mainstream, and everything in between.
Since our beginnings in New York City in 2000 around our
founders kitchen tables, Flavorpills mission has been to

Budweiser - Select Flavor
Anheuser Busch was launching BudweiserSelect, a premium product targeted at an
influential urban audience, and they needed a
partner to execute a multi-faceted program.
Flavorpill Solution
Flavorpill developed Select Flavor a programthat featured the work of up-and-coming artists,
interpreting the Budweiser Select brand. In total,
12 emerging artists from the US, UK, Japan, and
Brazil were commissioned for the program, with
their artwork used as ads on Flavorpill (and other
like-minded media outlets) and featured in an
online art gallery. Budweiser also sponsored our
monthly events series at the Guggenheim
Museum (NYC) and the Flavorpill Anniversary
Series in five cities.
Flavorpill has a deep understanding of our brand
positioning and have developed excellent creativeways of delivering that message. We value the ar tists
who have created custom art reflecting our brands
attributes and feel it has been a relevant and effective

Pimp Hung - HBO
HBO enlisted Flavorpill to help to promote the launch of its
newest show, Hung. HBO wanted to develop unique ways
to integrate their ad creative and contextualize the shows
premise via editorial content.
Flavorpill Solution
Hung is about a loser who is a failure at everything he does.A friend helps him discover that he has a hidden talent and
uses it to earn money. Flavorpill created a custom execution
that used original content, a contest and email takeovers to
generate real engagement with the idea of discovering
hidden talent, the theme of the show.
The Flavorpill Daily Dose email kicked off the program with
well designed email takeover.
Flavorwire followed it up with an editorial series that revolved
around actors, musician and artists that have little known
talents. At the end of each post we asked our audience to
submit their hidden talents in the comments.
We heavily cross-promoted the program on relevant
Flavorpill.com listings, editorial features in the Flavorpill
email, several different sections of the Daily Dose, Twitter
and Facebook.
To conclude the program the 20 best submissions were
awarded with a HBO DVD box set of their choosing.
