Flat Plans These are my drawn flat plans for my front page, contents page and double page spread. They are rough outlines for what I will do when it comes down to me making them, but as they are only rough my ideas may change when I do make them – I may add more, or take something away, or change something. I believe these flat plans relate to the type of magazine I want to do because of how it is styled and laid out, but with editing on Photoshop I will make it look more related to my theme – because then I can include imagery, colours and Photoshop brushes, etc. Front Page Skyline Masthead Cover lines Main Cover line Freebee Imagery (to go here) This is the flat plan for my front page. I have included a masthead, a main cover line, cover lines, a skyline and a ‘freebee’. I will also include a main imagery once I have done a photo shoot – this main image will be included when I begin to edit on Photoshop.

Flat Plans

These are my drawn flat plans for my front page, contents page and double page spread.

Freebee Imagery (to go here)

This is the flat plan for my front page. I have included a masthead, a main cover line, cover lines, a skyline and a ‘freebee’. I will also include a main imagery once I have done a photo shoot – this main image will be included when I begin to edit on Photoshop.

That I like about this flat plan is how the masthead stands out, which will be eye-catching for the target audience, I also like how the main cover line ‘Exclusive’ part is larger than the rest because when the target audience see the bold word they are more than likely to read on, and I like how there is a ‘freebee’ – this will also attract the target audience.

What could be improved about this flat plan is that I could have included a pull quote, which I may do when it comes down to editing my front cover on Photoshop, and also that you can’t see the full effect of the magazine without the main imagery, but there will be one one I start editing.

Contents Page

Masthead Main Articles

This is the flat plan for my contents page. I have included a masthead and only the main articles that are going to be included in the magazine – rather than every page – this is because a Music Magazine contains a lot of pages and different sections, so I decided to keep it more interesting I would only include the main feature of my Music Magazines. Also, I will include a main imagery once I have done a photo shoot – this main image will be included when I begin to edit on Photoshop.

That I like about this flat plan is that it includes only the main articles, for reasons explain above. I also like how it follows the house style – by using the same font, colours, style, layout, etc.

What could be improved about this flat plan is that I could have included more features – such as imagery, patterns, etc – however I could of that when editing in Photoshop if I wanted too.

Masthead Stand First Drop Cap

Imagery (to go here) Interview

This is the flat plan for my contents page. I have included a masthead, a stand first, a drop cap and an interview of the artist mentioned in the main cover line on the front page. And also I will include a main imagery once I have done a photo shoot – this main image will be included when I begin to edit on Photoshop.

That I like about this flat plan is that I have included quite a bit of writing in the interview, this will keep the reader interested and want to read on, also I like that – once I have done a photo shoot – I will be including quite a few imagery’s, this will make it more eye-catching to the reader.

What could be improved about this flat plan is maybe to have more questions added in the interview, and also I could include a quote to make it more interesting for the reader – to make them want to write with the artist has said this particular quote.
