The material used in this test method are in the form of flat specimens, actual performance of the complete garment may vary depending on the final design and assembly of the garment. This test method does not apply to the electrical contact or electrical shock hazard. The Arc Rating was calculated using the test data obtained and given in the attached table. Using logistic regression technique, the ATPV, defined as the 50% probability of burn, was determined in accordance with ASTM F1959M-04. The average Heat Attenuation Factor (HAF) of the material is calculated by averaging the HAF of each test sample. It is defined as the percent of the incident energy that is blocked by the material.
