David Vance Eagle Scout Project May 1 to June 1, 2011 If you have ever wondered what to do with that lovely old flag, let me assist you. With the assistance of Staff Sgt. Strain of the U.S. Army, I will retire your flag with dignity and respect. I am spearheading this project to earn my Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America. I belong to Crew 9070 from the River Ridge 5 th Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If your flag has a story or interesting history, please advise me. We will read it or invite you to tell the story at the retirement ceremony, scheduled for June 1, 2011. Please provide your name and address with any flag that you donate. David is gearing up for his Eagle Project. He is gathering and retiring old American Flags. (Yes, as a matter of fact, we are a bunch of pyromaniacs around here!) The Army is sending over two officers to help us. (My idea...there's something about a man in uniform!)
