In addition to the medals and awards presented in Guatemala next year, La Carrera Cycles is proud to offer, for the very first time, La Ocho.

La Ocho is a Figure-8 Track Race and is the main attraction. Other popular events include: Skids | Track Stand | Backward Circles | Bunny Hop | Sprints | Cargo | Relay | Goldsprints | Lake Jump

Many recognized brands currently sponsor teams, as well as individual racers.

The annual CMWC street race has grown in popularity. Last year the event was held in Toronto, the year before in Dublin and this year Tokyo. Production costs are met through registration sales. We are seeking and negotiating with new partners, such as those in the merchandising and broadcast industries.

"Part velodrome, part corckscrew, part half pipe, and part destruction derby, the La Ocho figure-eight bike track promises to be like nothing else in the world. Built especially for this event from hard- packed dirt, with banked turns and an over/under bridge crossing intersection in the middle, this unique course will test the bike handling skills of even the most experienced riders. After one day of open practice, riders will be divided up in to heats of 4, as they try to advance through the 2 day elimination- style tournament. Winners will advance straight through, while losers will have to make it via the second chance brackets. Races will start off short and sweet, but will get much longer as the event progresses, culminating in a brutal, 100 lap final."
