Fitting Option A Handlebars with fixed 6mm internal thread. Models with 5mm thread (eg. Triumph) recommend to drill and tap to 6mm.

Fitting Option B Handlebars with fixed 8mm internal thread (with handlebar end weights removed). Fits many Kawasaki models with handlebar protruding past the end of the grips when bar end weight is removed.

Fitting Option C Handlebars with fixed 8mm internal thread (with handlebar end weight in place). Fits to the end of the handlebar weight on many models (eg. BMW)

WARNING: Check operation of all handlebar controls, specifically the throttle, front brake, kill switch and clutch to ensure they are operating correctly and are in accordance with the OEM specifications. This check should be performed with the steering straight and also when it is at left and right full lock. If the lever end touches the guard extra spacers may be required at the handlebar end mounting point. On some motorcycles the guard may touch the fairing and hinder steering function. If this occurs try attaching the lever guard in the extended forward position so it passes in front of the fairing. Do not ride the motorcycle with the guards installed if any controls are not operating correctly. Check periodically that all bolts are tight.

Important:

Installation of the handguard is safety-relevant work and can be complicated. We recommend the installation be performed by a qualified motorcycle service technician.

Recommended Torque Settings

M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)

M8 20 Nm (14.8 lbf ft)

M3.5 * DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN *

CAUTION: Rideworx accepts no liability for damages caused by improper mounting. All bolts including all provided by Rideworx, should be tightened to the torque settings recommended by your motorcycle’s manufacturer. If unavailable, use torque settings in the table provided. After the first 50km of riding check all bolts are tightened to the correct torque. We recommend a medium strength liquid thread lock product on all fasteners.
