Henrik Fisker andBernhard Koehlershare over 51 years ofcombined experience inthe automotive world.

They joined forcesas Fisker Coachbuildin 2005, a venturewhich saw the teamreviving the lost art ofcoachbuilding, designing

custom automobiles tocustomer specications.

The duo led teams thatutilized powertrainsand chassis fromother luxury Europeanmanufacturers until 2007when they foundedFisker Automotive, a trueautomobile manufacturerwhich introduced theworld's rst premiumplug-in hybrid electric

Plug-in Hybrid Electrictechnology is a uniquesystem comprised of2 electric motors,1 Lithium-ion battery,and 1 internalcombustion engine.

Lithium-ion battery chargecapacity permits up to 50miles of electric driving.

After 50 miles, the internalcombustion engineengages to support theelectric motors for a rangeof 250 miles. (note: theplug-in hybrid is never runby the engine. The engine

provides the energy to runthe electric motors.)
