A message from Brett Coombs

As we roll out our fi rst market place report for 2014, it’s a good time to refl ect on the previous year.

the residential property market over 2013 had been rather subdued and at times volatile. However, the year did see solid results in the weeks leading up to Christmas. in particular, the past three months have seen renewed interest from families upgrading or moving into the area, showing that large family homes on big lots are still in high demand. this should slowly encourage more investors and fi rst home buyers back into the market and will begin to put a slight upward pressure on real estate prices over the course of 2014.

As the number of people searching for property starts to pick up, the number of buyers competing for the same property increases and can result in a higher price.

to stand out in a very price competitive market, presentation, marketing and a competitive price will always make your property more appealing, which in turn attracts more interest and a better position to negotiate.
