Subtract another cycle of 394 years andwe come to Ferdinand III and the reconquestof Spain from the Moors The exact mo-ment was the summer solstice of 1224

Go back another 394frac14 years and we ar-rive at the spring equinox of the year 830Egbert king of Wessex defeated the Welshbut this does not seem to have been final

Another 394frac14 years takes us to Decem-ber 435 Which as a year does not seemsignificant but in 436 came the destructionof Burgundy which gave rise to theNibelungenlied the basis of Wagnerrsquos Ring

Going back another 394frac14 years to Sep-tember 41 AD saw the assassination ofCaligula and his replacement by ClaudiusAnd for the first time Christians calledthemselves Christians

Go back to 352 BC (remember therewas no year 0) and you have Philip II con-quering somebody or other

I donrsquot normally do historical sweepsof this nature (I think theyrsquore feeble-minded) but the simplistic statement thatthe end of a Mayan cycle is no big deal doesnot seem to have historical support Bywhatever means they used the Mayansseem to have gotten their cycles right

Short-sighted as we are the overall pic-ture is beyond us It is clear that we are at amajor historical turning point whatever iteventually becomes It is clear the worlditself is not going to end God in heavenwill not come in wrath and judgement Butbased on previous cycles there will be war

The Newtown Connecticutschool tragedy

I HAD planned to write of happier thingsFriday morning December 14 AdamLanza murdered his mother and then

went to Sandy Hook Elementary School andproceeded to murder some 20 small childrenand another five adults before finally shoot-ing himself Such is the story so far

If I ignored this and wrote of say theCrocodile Hunter Steve Irwin I would be ac-cused of ignoring events On the other handif I write of the tragedy I will be accused ofpandering So I will go into the thick of itThis will be in several sections First theastrology of the event Second the policeThird and most critically the children them-selves

I REGRET I do not have the birth dataof the shooter himself I expect it willemerge in due course The first emer-

gency calls were from the school at about 930am Gunfire is LOUD and unmistakable Youhear that in your building and you will call911 in blind panic Which makes a chart setfor 930 am a good starting point

You look at the chart and want to find asmoking gun but the chart does not give oneeasily Mars is not on the ascendant but fivedegrees in back of it in the 12th Saturn is noton the midheaven but 12 degrees behind it inthe 9th Thinking of the children who diedyou quickly look at the 5th house of childrenand find Jupiter bearing hard down on the cuspWhy did Jupiter not save them

Look again at the chart Capricorn risesruled by Saturn in the 9th of philosophy re-ligion and higher education Since the cruxof the tragedy seems to be a dispute betweenAdam Lanza and his mother Nancy Lanzawe may presume it to have been religious orphilosophical in nature

Now note that Saturn and Mars are inmutual reception Scorpio to Capricorn Notealso that Mars is exalted in Capricorn and thatthe two planets are in wide sextile Marshaving more dignities than Saturn (ie Marsstronger than Saturn) we would have a Mar-tian event in other words violence

Note that Mars rules the midheaven andis tightly sextile to it This gives Mars twooutlets for his energy The ascendant whichhe is very close to and the midheaven whichhe owns and which he is tightly in aspect to

But you say what about Jupiter Why

did he not save the children In this caseJupiter is an example of what they teach intextbooks not quite applying in real life

First Jupiter is not in the 5th but in frontof it I interpret planets that are in the samesign as the cusp but not in the house itselfas ldquorunning to get into itrdquo The exception iswhen they are retrograde in which case theydonrsquot want to go there They are movingaway They donrsquot like the house Astrologyis literal retrogrades can be interpreted in justsuch a simple and direct manner Tragicallythere is more that can be gleaned

The fifth house is the house of childrenMercury (along with the Sun) is a ruler ofchildren Of the various signs associated withMercury (among them Gemini Virgo Sag-ittarius and Pisces) Gemini is the sign ofyouth and children

Jupiter in Gemini is in the sign of its de-bility and so therefore expressly has no in-terest in children Planets in debility do notdo their jobs This is the definition of debil-ity Again Astrology is literal You do notneed mdash and should not use mdash fancy mytholo-gies The ancient Greeks did not

All Jupiter did on Friday was deliver upa rich harvest of children Yes When Jupi-ter is severely debilitated which it was in thiscase it can be evil In the worst sense of theword If Jupiter had not been retrograde orif it had actually been in the 5th house in-stead of merely nearby the outcome mighthave been very different Children mighthave lived

We are sickened mdash I am sickened mdash butI stagger on What about the ruler of the 5thWhat about Mercury

We find Mercury on the opposite side ofthe chart mdash as far away as he can be mdash andin the sign of his debility Sagittarius mdash andin direct opposition to Jupiter We find Mer-cury is not so much ldquohelplessrdquo as mentallyaddled He looks on from a distance but doesnot care to help Sagittarius is not a deeplyfeeling sign Nor is it a practical one Mer-cury in Sagittarius runs around in blind panic

Very well We have a situation in whichchildren are abandoned to their fate But thatof itself does not make them dead Saturnand Mars acting in concert and ruling theascendant and midheaven do not act out

The result [rectified time of birth] thus ob-tained should be checked by applying the samemethod to other important dates in the life Thefinal result should be correct within about 2hours but greater accuracy cannot be obtainedthis way owing to the slowness of the Moonrsquosprogressed motion The method serves how-ever to narrow down the field of enquiry andto give a choice of 2 or 3 ascending signs

The next step in the process is to erect aseries of maps (say one for every 15O on theMC) between the limits determined uponTake the list of events and turn the age ateach event into degrees and minutes at therate of 1 year = 1O and 1 month = 5rsquo andthen convert the arcs so obtained into time atthe rate of 15O = 1 hour 1O = 4 minutes 1rsquo =4 seconds Find from the correct Tables ofHouses the Sidereal Time when one of thegiven degrees is on the MC or in otherwords the Sidereal Time for which one ofthe trial maps is erected Add the arc in timeto this Sidereal Time and look up the MCand Asc corresponding to the sum in theTables of Houses Do this with each of themaps in turn and notice what planets arebrought to the conjunction or aspect of theprogressed angles If any aspects appropri-ate to the events are formed in any of themaps or would be formed in some map in-termediate between two of the trial ones lookup the Sidereal Time which gives the exactaspecting degree on the MC or Asc whenthe proper arc is added and adjust the mapaccordingly Check this map by other aspectsto angles in a similar manner The aspectsso far examined are direct and to obtain theconverse ones subtract the arc in time fromthe given Sidereal Time and look up the cor-responding MC and Asc If the tentativemap is correct there should be converse di-rections also in forcemdash A Studentrsquos Text-Book of Astrology byVivian Robson Price $2595 Buy

Rectification IF all the planets whether benefic or ma-lefic were in trine to each other theirpredictions would be improved by that

location The evil of the malefic would belessened and the helpful benefits of the goodones would be strengthened

Thus if Saturn is in trine to Jupiter andboth are in signs in which they rejoice avoid-ing debilitated houses or if one of them inhis own house aspects the other in trine orthey both are in aspect to the ascendant thisindicates infinite riches and great good for-tune especially if one of the two is also inaspect to a waxing Moon

For then Saturn bestows endless wealthand dominion over large possessions fertilefields pastures and forest The native willattain great merit from building temples orshrines or earn high position as manager ofthe privy purse or of sacred treasuries

The natives will be immensely superiorto their fathers in position According to thequality of the chart some will hold high gov-ernment office others will receive large in-heritance still others will win profit fromforeign investments In all cases howeverthey will be attached with uncorrupted loy-alty to great and powerful men

But if with Saturn and Jupiter in trine aswe said Mercury is in favorable aspect thenative will be involved in obscure religiousrites or will carry on the business of kings orimportant states Often they will head a fa-mous legation

But these men are worn out by excessivemisfortunes concerning their children theylose sons and are forced to raise the offspringof others or after a time they receive backtheir children brought up by others This isthe case only if the chart is diurnal withoutinfluence of Mars

Astrology offers some important infor-mation regarding the choice of a house itsaspect and locality

upon innocents We must look for the con-necting link And there is one A most awfulone And you will look all day and not findit I found it by accident when a phone callerasked a hard question and I had to go look-ing Count the houses

Starting with the 5th house of childrenThe fifth house becomes the first The sixthbecomes the second The seventh is the thirdthe eighth is the fourth the ninth is the fifththe tenth is the sixth the eleventh is the sev-enth and the twelfth is the eighth

Traditionally what is the 8th house Tra-ditionally the 8th house is the house of deathWhen you count from the 5th the 12th housebecomes the house of death to children

This is true of everyonersquos chart Maleficsin the 12th house should they get out of con-trol can be harmful to the nativersquos children

Now look again at the chart for Decem-ber 14 2012 930 am in Newtown CT Inthe 12th house and in Capricorn are theMoon and Pluto jointly ruled by both Marsand Saturn in mutual reception with Marsin the sign of its exaltation When Mars andSaturn are configured like this they are ex-traordinarily powerful made more so by thesimple fact that they hate each otherrsquos gutsWith the partial exceptions of Venus (sex ap-peal) and the Sun (a bigger version of itself)Mars hates the world Saturn hates everyoneBoth planets hate each other which goes with-out saying When you stick them together theycan act out in the worst ways

Plutorsquos presence in Capricorn (in tightsextile to Saturn) and the 12th (death to chil-dren) made the situation far more profoundThe Moon not only made it personal andemotional but as the Moon rules the physi-cal body and was ldquocaught in the crossfirerdquoof MarsndashPlutondashSaturn those bodies endedup very very dead

We have seen how the Mars-Saturn mu-tual reception made both the ascendant andmidheaven evil Now consider the other twoangles

The descendant Cancer is ruled by theMoon We find the Moon in the 12th in itsdebility in Capricorn besieged by both Plutoand Mars The people who should havehelped were powerless to do so (debilitated)Who were these people Renumber the chartagain The 12th house is the 6th from the7th Who do we find in the 6th The policeWho were of no use

The fourth house the ICmdashthe end of thematter is just as telling It is Taurus whichis ruled by Venus We find Venus in its signof debility in Scorpio in the midheaven Yesthe school presumably is or was a very

pretty place It is not now nor I supposewill it ever be again Venus in Scorpio inthe midheaven it is a scene of death

Which brings up numbers Scorpio the8th sign is the sign of death Scorpio on themidheaven is death in public Count the housesfrom the 10th In the third house from the 10this its ruler Mars The third house is the houseof elementary education Pluto Mars and theMoon in the ldquopublicrdquo third is a bad day atschool and a bad day for Newtown in general

The 8th house in this chart has Virgo onthe cusp Virgo is ruled by Mercury Thedeath of children

Start counting again Count five housesfrom the 5th of children You will arrive inthe 9th You will find Saturn there Fivehouses from the fifth these children will nothave children Five houses from the houseof fun and amusements these children willnever have fun again Five houses from the5th is the 9th of higher education Saturnthere these children will not go to collegeThe ninth being the house of religion Sat-urn means religious rites will be of no use tothem Notice how in examining this eventchart from a number of different perspectiveswe have gotten different results from thesame planets the same houses and the samesigns Astrology is both literal and multi-layered Which is another reason to put awayyour books on mythology When charts re-peat the same things in this case death andchildren death and children they becomeextraordinarily powerful

THE POLICE

IN emergencies people phone the policeexpecting them to charge in and takecontrol But the police are not soldiers

they are not trained in hand-to hand combatNor do they watch old movies the oneswhere one guy lays down covering fire whileanother gets into a better position The po-lice will placidly wait for the gunman toemerge of his own free will At best theymay resort to snipers Tear gas it seems isreserved to disperse protesters But help ison the way Drones

Drones are currently being put into ser-vice in major US cities Drones with theirbuilt-in thermal imaging systems and largecaliber machine guns can easily identify andblow bad guys to bits We have already seenmurky videos from Afghanistan and Pakistanto name two countries Equally grim resultsin America will not be long in coming Whatwill America think when it sees the actual dam-age on the ground

Drones will be useful in hostage situa-tions which result in standoffs that last forhours And for car chases like OJrsquos famousflight a few years ago Shootings on theother hand are usually over before policearrive

BUT what of the children I havealready read that it was ldquomercifulrdquothe children died ldquoquicklyrdquo or ldquoin-

So in our deeply materialistic society wedo not need to concern ourselves with thedead only the living who grieve I regretthis is not true Consciousness whether hu-man or animal occupies an area in the vicin-ity of the head to which it is tethered Ittends to stay in the immediate vicinity of thehead as access to the physical brain enhancesthe conscious state During sleep it tends todrift about having experiences in the processDeath severs its links to the body but it doesnot end consciousness itself since conscious-ness was never dependent upon the body

So what happens after death I was askedthis recently and the answer is both simpleand surprising Anything you want Yourpersonal free will is absolute It cannot betaken from you Not by death not by anymeans whatever It persists After they passmost people try to continue with their previ-ous lives as that is all they know Virtuallyeveryone is terrified of Jesus They think hewill condemn them to hell for fooling aroundwith their kid sister when they were twelve(the one unforgivable sin it seems) and arepuzzled when he does not magically showup to drag them away

When children die they usually try to goon being children They will run to theirmothers for comfort Close observation sug-gests that when death is sudden and violentone can be knocked unconscious for a pe-riod of minutes or hours but one invariablyrecovers consciousness

So what happened to the children Interror they saw a man with a gun fire at thembut surprisingly it seems he did not actuallyhurt them Still terrified ndash although now ac-tually dead ndash they ran screaming to the farside of the room where miraculously MrLanza did not see them

As soon as the door opened they ran stillscreaming through the halls but no one sawthem since they no longer had bodies

The children eventually found their fami-lies specifically their mothers Here thingsbecame starkly tragic Their own motherswould have nothing to do with them Imag-ine you are six years old terrified and in tearsyet your mother ignores you As you readthis these children aged five to ten yearsare still amazed their families are carryingon as if they are not there with them Whenthey are The Church which has a surpris-ingly good cosmology even if its rituals areno good has a name for this Limbo TheChurch says Limbo is a happy place It isnot A great many people end up in Limbo

and stay there for very long times If you donot ldquogo to Jesusrdquo what eventually happensYou will eventually fall asleep and dreamYou will awake at the moment of birth Ifyou have a choice mdash and you do mdash go toJesus Hersquos kind and very sweet

The children will go to their funeralswhich as with their adult counterparts willnot impress them They will go home withtheir families Most of them will attach them-selves firmly to their mothers but these moth-ers having been taught that death is the endand that ldquoJesusrdquo has taken over will studi-ously ignore them Jesus only comes if thechild knows to ask Most do not It is assimple as that Should these women subse-quently become pregnant the child they bearwill likely be the murdered child reborn asthe children will seize the opportunity

For the women who do not again becomepregnant the child will likely glue himselfonto her until the day she dies many yearsin the future Whereupon the child will stillhave no mother because the mother will notknow to look for it while the child will notknow to look for a deceased mother I oncehad a case of a deceased child looking for itsmother The mother having died many yearslater was unaware the child was still in dis-tress It was simple for an outsider to bringthe two together provided the outsider (mein this case) could puzzle out the situationIt took me several months

Some children will latch on to other sib-lings Who not having been indoctrinatedinto the ldquodead is deadrdquo belief will be able tocommunicate with their deceased siblingWhich can lead to obsession another grimresult Rather than go on I will only notethat with the proper techniques there can bereal healing and lives saved but the GhostHunters the Mythbusters the Wiki peoplethe Church people the fundamentalistpeople the psychology people the sciencepeople are all useless when they are notpositively harmful Which they too often are

Itrsquos not just there was a bad morning at aschool in a small town in Connecticut butthat the consequences will go on for upwardsof two centuries or more What is the use ofiphones and internet and fast cars if your chil-dren are dead and in need of help but youthe grieving parent do not know do not seetheir plight
