TIPS
JOIN
Not just First Friday! Many of the stops on the tour are full-time
businesses that have regular hours throughout
the month! Their regular hours are listed inside
here - be sure to visit them during the rest of
the month for all sorts of great events!
What is 3F and how about SA?Many of the galleries are also open evening
hours on the 3rd Friday of the month, and
afternoons on the Saturday After First Friday!
Hence Third Friday and Saturday After! Look
for the 3F and SA symbols with the gallery
listings. 3F hours are generally 6A - 10A and
SA hours are usually 1A - 5A, but they do vary
some by gallery. Unlike First Friday, the galler-
ies may charge a modest fee and there is no
shuttle service, but these are chances to see
more of what the Phoenix Arts Community has
to offer in a relaxed atmosphere. Expect to find
live shows, artist receptions and more. Check
the individual listings for specific time and
details, call ahead, or just drop in.
Who runs First Friday?First Friday is run by Artlink, Inc., a volunteer-based grass roots organization of artists and supporters dedicated to showcasing the aazing variety of art in Phoenix. Artlink is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. The group receives no government funding and no staff member is paid. Artlink relies solely on participants like you to make First Fridays successful.
I love First Friday! How can I help?Just like public television, First Friday is made possible by the people who enjoy it. If you enjoy First Friday please become a member. Use the form on this bro-chure or visit artlinkphoenix.com
I never knew! How else can I help?By volunteering! Artlink needs volunteers on First Friday and throughout the month. Call 602.256.7539 for more info. It’s fun! And a monthly training session will help you get started! Be

Tip: The shuttles are a great way to get around (and not have to look for a new parking space at each stop) but keep in mind that many galleries are within walking distance from each other.
Tip: Don’t spend your whole night waiting for a bus. Bicycles are a GREAT way to get around on First Friday. Don’t forget lights and a helmet!
Tip: You can’t see everything in one night so see what you can and come out again next month! And don’t forget about the galleries off the beaten path. They have hidden treasures and will be happy to see you!
