Using First Class Conferences

Username: 1st Initial + Last name + Graduation

Year + SJPassword: Same as for computer lab at school

Log on to 1st Class

Your Desktop Should Look Like:

If Your Desktop has the List View (as below) instead of Icons…

…go to View and choose “View by Icon:

Click on Your Grade’s Conference Icon

Next, Click on the Assignments Icon

Your Assignments Window Opens

Note the Red Flags. These indicate that you have not yet opened this file

Click on the file that you have been instructed to open.

Right click on the file you have been instructed to open Choose Download

Download the File

Save the file to your Technology Folder with your name on it as the example below, substituting your name and assigned color for the example: SSmith FC Tour Color Quiz.docx

Save the File

Use Microsoft Word’s Text Highlight Color Tool to choose the one best answer for each of the questions

Take the Quiz

Double check to be sure your test is saved in side your Technology Folder, which is inside your Documents Folder

Completing the Test

Submit to Dropbox Return to your First Class desktop Click on your Technology Conference Icon

IMPORTANT, this is where you submit your final draft to your teacher. Once you submit here, you cannot undo this!

If you do need to submit a revision, be sure to label your file accordingly so your teacher will know which one to grade

Click on the Dropbox Icon

Submit to DropboxNavigate to your fileChoose File >

Upload

Click Open

You see your file upload

It will then appear in the file list with your name

Completing the Upload
