The shelves are almost bare! Please bring any size cans of regular coffee and large cans of fruit through October 21.

FROM THE TABLE The Things You CreateWe’re beginning a new Sermon Series this Sunday—a series you have all helped craft.I’ve been collecting your questions for several weeks, and as I expected—they’re challenging, thoughtful, and remind me of the depth of faith we share as a congregation. I’m currently organizing them based on common themes so that our Sunday conversations in worship over the next few weeks get to the heart of what you want to explore.I’m excited for what we might learn together as we dig into questions that cover everything from what it means for why suffering exists if God is loving to why I choose to wear a clerical robe during worship! It will be fun! As of Monday Morning, we have received 49 pledges for a total of $241,190.00 to support our ministry in 2019. This is right around 50% of our total budget—what a terrific start to our stewardship campaign! If you are yet to pledge, I encourage you to do so. Pledging our gifts allows us to prepare for the coming year, and helps us stretch ourselves as a congregation to offer care, hope, and refuge for all those who need it.Thanks for all that you do to make FCC what it is. I am grateful for what you do to create this hospitable space.I am, as always, so grateful to be in ministry with you, Rev. B
