WES’ WORDS by Pastor Wes Faulkby Pastor Wes Faulkby Pastor Wes Faulkby Pastor Wes Faulk
Church family, it is a joy to be your pastor! Every day my family and I fall more and more in love with the people of this church. Just this past week I was telling Jenn that this community, this church just feels natural. Even though we are still in the process of building relationships here, so many of you have treated us as if we are old friends. Thank you!
As we grow together, it is my hope this year that we might experience scripture together by walking through the Old and New Testament. We are going to find how Jesus’ fingerprints cover every single page of God’s grand story. On our journey, it is my desire to communicate in a way that will weave the stories of Scripture together for you and allow you to see how God’s plan from the beginning was Jesus Christ with every word in the Bible pointing to Him.
So, where do we begin? We start where the world started—in the beginning! Did you know that Jesus was present in creation? He was. In Genesis chapter one, the Bible states “Let Us make man in our image”. Did you catch that? The first mention of Jesus in the Bible is in the first chapter of the first book of the Bible; every word of Scripture points to Jesus Christ.
I hope you will join me as we walk through scripture together to understand that He, Jesus, is the true hero of scripture.
