The course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis 21659VIC is designed to establish the essential skills and underpinning knowledge necessary to assist a person suffering a severe allergic reaction and anaphylaxis until the arrival of medical assistance.
The program is divided into six topics over a 3 hour program
Course Content
The course is designed to enable participants on completing the training, to be confident in assisting a person suffering a severe allergic reaction or suffering an anaphylactic reaction. It provides the participant with the skills and competence to:
assess the situation and identify signs of a person suffering a severe allergic reaction identify hazards to the health and safety of self and others and minimise any risks conduct a Risk Assessment and develop an Action Plan for a person diagnosed as Anaphylactic provide appropriate first aid treatment for anaphylactic reaction administration of Adrenaline (Epinephrine) by EpiPen(r) evaluate first aid response to anaphylactic reaction provide reports where applicable
