REDBULLREDBULL INTERVIEW QUESTIONSPOSSIBLE ANSWERS1Your first contact with the brand and how do you identify with it?My first contact with the brand was throught a wing team member. Her attitude and high octane life style was the first glimpse of the Red Bull culture for me. 2Why do you want to work for Red Bull? I like the fact that Red Bull promotes a lifestyle that is founded on passion for what you're doing, showing determination and loving the process to mastery. The underlying value here is continuous improvement, as it's depicted by the athletes, constantly pushing their limits, which is also my core life value. As a person that seeks to improve skills all the time, I believe that my lifestyle fit the culture of Red Bull and as an athlete, I want to take role in promoting sports in either way.3What does authenticity mean when marketing to a sports scene? It means understanding and depicting the passion and determination that goes into sports. More importantly, all of us have a different approach to problems and so does athletes. Showing the creativity of an athlete, her approach and the story behind is what makes a market campaign authentic.4Example of a community or a scene that is tough for a big brand to market to? Today, millennials watch less tv compared to their parents. This makes them harder to reach by convential methods of advertising and marketing (i.e. Tv ads). Yet, they are more up to date on the ever changing content in web. That said, in a low income market (limited access to internet), where the target audience are millenials and internet is used to increase brand awareness, level of penetration and effect in the community can be low. 5Which sports is Red Bull involved in? Motocross, BMX, Wakeboarding, skateboarding, break dancing, rallying, f1 racing, windsurfing, sailing, downhill racing, air racing, snowboarding, cliff diving6If we asked you to identify 5 emerging skateboarders who are under the age of 18 in the LA area, how would you do it? If there is a time limit I would do a quick research at skate parks, ask the people in the scene or organize a competition that would both leverage the Red Bull brand and help me find best skateboarders. 7Who drives for the Red Bull racing team?Sebastian Vettel8Have you ever assembled a team and had to deal with a bad team member. How did you go about this?I'm playing in a jazz band which I assembled and the guitar player keeps on playing with a empty face. While playing it's both important to play right, but you also have to show enthusiasm to your own music and the audience. I explained this to him in his own word and showed a couple of his video while playing. Eventually he agreed with me to smile a bit more.9What is the most creative thing you have ever done?Kibris, E90 mercedes benzin kapagi acmak, jazz piano, jazz and business combination10Why marketing?Just like in any music genre, to survive you have to innovate. To innovate you have to keep on searching new ideas and improve. I believe that Marketing has the same challenges and this perpetual need for development, research and innovation is what is driving me to pursue a career in Marketing11How would you convince an owner of a nightstore to include Redbull Light in its selling assortment when the regular Redbull product is not selling as promised.12If you where an object, what would you be?I would like to be one my skis because they always remind me of challenge, sweating, improving, changing, style..13What is the hardest project you worked on?Factory Production Managing for 2 month14Where do you see yourself in five years? After working close to production, doing project management and business development for the last 2 years in a freshly squeezed juice business, I discovered and understood the general structure of a business. Upon that knowledge, I can see that my skills as a person are a better fit for a marketing position which I have a greater passion for. Therefore I see Red Bull graduation programme on marketing track as the next step in my career path and in 5 years, I believe that I will thrive as a marketing man with increasing level of skill and responsibility 15Why you would be good for the job?Being an athlete, a musician and a businessman at the same time, having multi departmental and disciplinary experience that allows for a different mind set. Sometimes governments, like in Turkey do not provide enough support to youth for them to obtain a healthy sports culture. In such cases, being so close to the best athletes in the world, Red Bull has the resources to use this alpha people to help people get into sports. 18Why sports marketing?I am an semi-professional atlete and can understand the thought process that is needed to push the limits. Moreover, I have the skills and experience that can allow me to understand the big picture or the trends of a market. Being able to relate to these two different disciplines both excites me and urges me to select this direction.19What sports I have been involved in and in what capacity?Slalom Water Skiing - Under 21Turkey 3rd, 2007, Turkish National Champ. 2nd, 2012 - Skiing since age 3.
