o PIPE SIZES 2" AND SMALLER: SCHEDULE 40, BLACK STEEL, MEETING ASTM A53 SPECIFICATIONS,

CONNECTED WITH THREADED FITTINGS.

o PIPE SIZES 2:1/2" AND LARGER: SCHEDULE 10, BLACK STEEL, MEETING ASTM A135 OR A795

SPECIFICATIONS, CONNECTED WITH LISTED GROOVED COUPLINGS.

15. PIPE FITTINGS SHALL INCLUDE:

o THREADED FITTINGS FOR SCHEDULE 40 PIPE SHALL CONFORM WITH SECTION 6.4 (4.3) OF NFPA

13 (NFPA 14).

o ROLL GROOVED FITTINGS FOR SCHEDULE 10 PIPE SHALL BE UL LISTED. COUPLING SHALL

18. AUXILIARY DRAINS ARE NOT SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS. LOCATIONS OF AUXILIARY DRAINS

SHALL BE DETERMINED BY CONTRACTOR WHERE A CHANGE IN PIPING DIRECTION PREVENTS

DRAINAGE OF THE SYSTEM PIPING THROUGH THE MAIN DRAIN VALVE. SIGNS SHALL BE PROVIDED
