SOFTWARE TURNED OVER TO GOVERNMENT SHALL BE ORIGINAL SOFTWARE ON COMPACT DISK (CD) WITH JEWELED CASE. COPIES OF SOFTWARE SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE. SOFTWARE AND CD SHALL BE BRAND NEW AND UNUSED. PROVIDE AN 8-HOUR BLOCK OF TRAINING ON SOFTWARE, REGARDING MAINTENANCE, TESTING, AND REPROGRAMMING OF THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM FOR 6 PERSONNEL. TRAINING SHALL BE PROVIDED ON SITE AT HURLBURT, FL.
5. THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL REPORT ALL CONDITIONS TO THE BASE-WIDE REPORTING SYSTEM AS NECESSARY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE BASE TO ENSURE THE SYSTEM IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE BASE-WIDE (MONACO BT- XM) SYSTEM AND THE PROPER TRANSMITTING EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED. THE TRANSCEIVER SHALL BE PROVIDED AND INSTALLED BY THE CONTRACTOR AS PART OF THE COMPLETE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM.

THE FIRE ALARMSYSTEM SHALL BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE MASS NOTIFICATION SYSTEMRECEIVER AND BE ABLE TO RELAY OUTPUTS FROM THE RECEIVER OVER THEVOICE EVACUATION SYSTEM TO THE SPEAKERS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALLCOORDINATE WITH THE BASE TO ENSURE THE RECEIVER IS COMPATIBLE WITHTHE BASE-WIDE MASS NOTIFICATION SYSTEM. MASS NOTIFICATION SIGNALSSHALL TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER FIRE ALARM SIGNALS.
2. THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL MONITOR ALL SPRINKLER SYSTEM ALARM,SUPERVISORY AND TROUBLE CONDITIONS.
3. AIR HANDLING UNITS OVER 2000 CFM, SHALL HAVE DUCT SMOKE SENSORSINSTALLED ON THE SUPPLY DUCTS.
4. ALL SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PASSWORDS, ETC REQUIRED FOR THEMAINTENANCE, TESTING, AND REPROGRAMMING OF THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEMSHALL BE UNCONDITIONALLY TURNED OVER TO THE GOVERNMENT, AND THEABOVE NOTED SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PASSWORDS, ETC WILL BECOME THEUNCONDITIONAL PROPERTY OF THE GOVERNMENT. 8. THE FIRE ALARM / MNS LAYOUT IS DIAGRAMMATICAL ONLY. THE ACTUALBUILDING LAYOUT MAY VARY FROM THE DRAWINGS. THE CONTRACTORSHALL VERIFY CEILING HEIGHTS, WALL AND PARTITION LOCATIONS AND DOORLOCATIONS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
9. ALL INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR WALLS, CEILINGS AND FLOORS THAT AREDAMAGED OR ALTERED BY THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESTORED TOORIGINAL CONDITION AND TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE CONTRACTINGOFFICER.
10. ALL FIRE ALARM AND MNS CONDUCTORS SHALL BE SOLID COPPER AND SHALLBE INSTALLED IN CONDUIT. ALL CONDUIT SHALL BE FACTORY PAINTED RED.

10. NEITHER THE OWNER NOR THE ENGINEER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FORPROVIDING A SAFE WORKING PLACE FOR THE CONTRACTOR,SUBCONTRACTORS, OR THEIR EMPLOYEES, OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUALRESPONSIBLE TO THEM FOR THE WORK. THIS RESPONSIBILITY RESTSSOLELY ON THE CONTRACTOR'S PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT.
11. ALL PIPING IN AREAS WITH SUSPENDED CEILINGS SHALL BE CONCEALEDABOVE CEILINGS. ALL EXPOSED PIPE SHALL BE PAINTED AND/ORLABELED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATION.
12. PIPE LAYOUT, SIZES AND ROUTING ARE DIAGRAMMATICAL ONLY. THECONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY PIPING AND SPRINKLER LOCATIONS IN THEFIELD PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SIZE ALLPIPING ACCORDING TO THE AVAILABLE WATER SUPPLY.
13. THE BACKFLOW PREVENTER TEST HEADER CONTROL VALVE SHALL BEMONITORED VIA THE FMCP IN THE NORMALLY CLOSED POSITION.
14. INSPECTOR'S TEST CONNECTION SHALL BE INSTALLED AT THEREMOTE BRANCH LINE.
15. ALL METALLIC PIPE PENETRATIONS THROUGH SECURITY WALLS SHALL BEPROPERLY GROUNDED.
