If you know Giada De Laurentiis, you know she feeds her guests. The Culinary Hall of Famer and star host on the Food Network loves nothing more than putting out a plate of salumi and a glass of chianti,

then setting an extra place at the table. Soon there will be another place to pull up a chair: Pronto by Giada at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Giada’s fans—and she has millions—have already flocked to her first restaurant, GIADA at The Cromwell. “I wanted to do something different,” she explained on her blog. The new restaurant features a more relaxed atmosphere that helps to “spread the love for Italian culture (and food!).”

The restaurant will be located near the entrance of MR. CHOW and across from Bacchanal Buffet, and it will stay open from breakfast until the late hours. “Pronto is inspired by the all-day cafés of Italy,” says De Laurentiis, “where friends meet for everything from a quick bite on the go to a leisurely meal over wine.”

She has promised to carry a selection of Italian and Californian wines— her two homes—as well as favorite dishes from her TV show, including “gooey grilled cheese” and a fully stocked gelato bar. Then there’s her in-spired, recuperative take on an antipasto breakfast sandwich: mortadella, bacon, prosciutto cotto, mozzarella, sweet red pepper aioli and egg. For a woman born in Rome, Caesars Palace feels like a homecoming. Ciao, bella!

Flamingo Struts Its Stuff With a blend of funky Las Vegas style, deep luxury and artful fun, the old classic gets a great new look. Flamingo may already have 70 years under its beak, but its sprightly new look is totally today. The 1,270 sleek and stylish rooms that are Caesars’ latest work-in-progress were sketched out by ForrestPerkins, a national design firm (consultant to Nevada-licensed YWS Design and Architecture) known for freshen-ing up luxury landmarks. Guests will see splashes of the resort’s signature rosy shade on side chairs, bed scarves, wall art and flower arrangements, plus touches like gold glitter in the floor-to-ceiling win-dows meant to sparkle in sunlight like champagne.

“The fully renovated rooms pay homage to the property’s past while also giving it a fresh and modern new look,” explains Bob Morse, President of Hospitality for Caesars Entertainment. Guests on the 28th floor got their first glimpse of Flamingo’s refurbishing in November; all of Towers 5 and 6 will be set for occu-pancy by April 2018. Another 2,000 rooms through-out Towers 1 to 4 are slated for spruce-ups soon.

Paris — Ooh La La! Bringing classically continental touches and Old World luxury into the heart of Las Vegas. The 1,800-room renovation that started last year at Paris Las Vegas was overseen by KNA Design, the Los Angeles–based firm that led the Roman rebirth of the Julius Tower at Caesars Palace in 2016. Now the hotel’s spacious accommodations, including the Burgundy Rooms and several suite types, are named for the most opulent French eras, regions and cities.

KNA set out to merge European elegance, a welcoming home-away-from-home feel, and the French capital’s forward approach to fashion. The result blends bold strokes of contemporary color with graceful grays and creamy tones. The decor combines traditional and trendy, like the antique map in the Nice Suite now transformed into modern wall art. The Lyon Suite features a classic tulip-glass chandelier in the dining area and a hidden high-tech TV that—voilà!—rises from the footboard in the bedroom at the touch of a button.
