A quick, simple way to stress the importance of Easter….
Let children color the tomb (and flowers and drape) depending
on which sheet you choose to print. Then allow them to choose
paint colors to dip their fingers in (or use a colorful stamp pad)
and then gently press onto the inside of the cross. Remind
children of the following Scripture verses and stress that each
fingerprint on the cross represents our sin that Jesus took upon
himself. He was punished for OUR sins!

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Isaiah 53:5-6 - But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the
punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep,
have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us
all.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 - For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance : that Christ died for
our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to
the Scriptures…
