Now, using another needle (one of the double pointswill work), pick up 24 sts from the cast-on edge.Hold your working needles parallel to each other, wrong sides together and do a 3-needle bind off.

Dont know how? Here is a great online tutorial:

    http://techknitting.blogspot.com/2011/12/three-needle-bind-off-for-real-this.html

Now holding your newly knitted cuff (you will hold itso that the seam runs up and down). You will useyour double points (or sometimes I use a muchsmaller needle just to make the picking up easier)and start picking up stitches: 8 sts on 1 st needle, 8sts on 2 nd needle, 8 sts on 3 rd needle. = 24 sts total.

A good tutorial for picking up stitches along the sideof garter stitch can be found here:

    Cross 2 Left:

    1. Miss the first stitch on the left-hand needle and knit the secondstitch through the back of theloop (working behind the missedstitch).

    2. Do not slip the worked stitch offthe needle, but twist the needleforward and knit the missed stitchthrough the front of the loop (aregular knit stitch). Then slip

    both stitches off the needletogether.

    Cross 2 Right:

    1. Miss the first stitch on the left-hand needle and knit the secondstitch, working through the frontof the loop only.

    2. Do not slip the worked stitch offthe needle, but twist the needle

back and knit the missed stitchthrough the front of the loop (aregular knit stitch). Then slipboth stitches off the needletogether.
