In celebration of Leporello’s 20th anniversary we are delighted to present our latest collection - Contemporary Living - designs conceived for both sophisticated modern spaces as well as refined classical interiors.

This exclusive collection showcases Leporello’s innovative design skills and high standards of craftsmanship. Featuring the award-winning Evo designs complemented by the highly regarded Contemporary Collection.

Evo represents an ‘evolution’ in two senses - the fusion of natural materials into beautifully crafted furniture and our move towards a new contemporary aesthetic.

Taking inspiration from copper veins in seams of sedimentary rock, with ingenuity and patience we created exquisite textured polished bronze panels as a key feature. The sleek lines and luxurious finishes provide a modern opulent yet grounded collection of furniture that adds texture, warmth and originality to an interior concept.

Whilst we offer an exclusive collection of designs hand made to order, Leporello is much more than the sum of its products. You should think of us more as a service than a manufacturer. We believe in listening to our clients and creating bespoke solutions to individual requirements, be it adapting proportions to an awkward space, matching a colour or designing one off pieces.

From a single item to a large-scale contract, our approach is the same. First we take the time to understand your brief and explore the options; only then do we set about bringing the project to life, involving ourselves in every step of the process from your first enquiry until it comes together satisfyingly on the day of delivery.

Leporello offer a stunning range of bedroom furniture centred around two options with the Evo Bed: the Colonial with button back headboard and crisp straight lines and the Oval Colonial with curved headboard and hand cast Pear Finials; offering a more organic aesthetic and a slight touch of English eccentricity. This has to be our favourite bed design. It captures the essence of an autumnal walk in Wisley Gardens, the blaze of colours, the perfectly formed fallen pear and a harvest moon. Mother nature preparing for winter sleep.

ShowroomOur showroom at No. 5 Old Char Wharf is open weekdays and weekends by appointment. We are easy to find approximately ten minutes drive from Junction 9 of the M25. Please call direct on 01306 875550 if you wish to make an appointment.

TimberFrames are made from hand selected hardwoods including beech, poplar and cherry. Panels are cut from veneered boards for stability. This combination offers an excellent, strong, smooth and stable base for our multi-layered paint finishes, however, remember that wood is a live material and may react to the effects of excessive temperature, moisture or sunlight.

ConstructionOur furniture follows time proved construction methods. All frames are formed with mortice & tenon joints that are well glued and are extremely strong and light. Drawers are assembled with dovetail joints on traditional guides. The Evo designs are fitted with self closing metal runners. The hardware has been carefully selected for its aesthetic sympathy, durability and efficiency.

Paint FinishesOur furniture is painted with non toxic water based paints and sealed with a protective lacquer. As colours have an evolving nature, ask to see our latest additions. A special colour and finish service is available and we will give you a quotation based on your specification.

Beds & MattressesSingle beds come with a sturdy set of pine slats all other sizes include high quality metal framed beech twin sprung slatted bases.

We supply a choice of quality mattresses made by a leading British luxury bed manufacturer, specifically designed for use on frame beds with sprung slatted bases.Headboards are designed to fit to a divan base, alternatively they can be fixed to a wall. Bespoke sizes upon request.

UpholsteryHeadboards may be painted or upholstered in your choice of fabric (poa).

Chairs & Stools Prices include upholstery in customer’s choice of fabric but not the cost of the fabric. All upholstery fabrics must comply with the current fire retardancy regulations. Barrier/back coating and stain repellent treatments are available at an additional cost if required. Leporello to order fabric on your behalf.

MeasurementsAll dimensions are approximate and in centimetres. Every effort has been made to reproduce Leporello’s range accurately, however due to the nature of production, the furniture may vary slightly in small details. We reserve the right to modify our designs without notification.

Payment termsWe require a 50% non returnable deposit bank transfer or cheque payment made payable to Leporello with your written order. 70% deposit payment is required with bespoke pieces. The balance falls due 7 days prior to order completion.Full details of our full terms of business are provided with the price list.

DeliveryStandard items can normally be prepared within six to eight weeks. For larger items and hand finishes please allow eight to ten weeks. Goods can either be collected or a home delivery service arranged – quote upon request.

Home deliveriesWe take great care of your furniture when we deliver to you. We want you to be delighted with all aspects of our service. Most items arrive in cardboard boxes. Wardrobes come in parts for ease of access. We can assemble these for you in about an hour. Bed frames come as Headboard, Footboard, Side rails and Slatted base frames. These take about half an hour to assemble. Allow additional time if parking or access to your home is restricted or your room is on the 5th floor! Tell us about any obstructions and please make sure your room is clear. Delivery charges can be kept to a minimum if we can send one man.
