Finding Books at the Architecture and Planning Library

Once you have found a book you would like to access, and determined that it is available, navigate to the correct library with the call number in hand.
Most architectural books will be in the Architecture and Planning Library in Battle Hall, but not all of them will be, so make sure to note location.
“Findit@UT” Button searches through our electronic resources to determine if we have an electronic copy of the item.
“Get a Scan” is used to request a scan of a specific article or chapter of a physical item.
Click this link to change the URL to a permanent link to send or save the URL.
Also on the Record Page
If the Find it @UT button does not pull up any electronic resources, then we only own the physical item.
You can get a single chapter, or section, scanned in some cases.
Request a chapter with the “Get A Scan” Button.
The Get a Scan button directs you to our InterLibrary Services Page. Enter your EID and Password to request an article or chapter.
If you already have an ILS Account, you will be prompted to fill out the request information. If you do not have an ILS Account, you will be directed to create one by filling out your contact information.
Use the Pick It Up service when the book you want is…
• not currently available• at another library
We will send the book to your chosen library as soon as it is available!
As soon as the item is ready for pick up, you will receive an email notification.
It does take time to: transfer books from another location (1-2 days) recall a book from another user (1-2 weeks)
