STUDENT SUCCESS CENTERMost of us need a little extra help every now and then. At the Student Success Center,

just as the name promises, we’re committed to making you a more successful student.

One-on-one professional tutors are available to help maximize your understanding

in math or English, and the Computer Connection center offers expanded

resources for help with technology. Services are available by instructor referral or by

student appointment.

L.O. TODD-BILLY C. BEAL LEARNING RESOURCES CENTERIt’s time to re-imagine what a library can be. Yes, there are books,

plenty of books, but then there’s so much more. A modern computer

lab offers you a quiet work space. Textbooks and classroom resources

are also available for checkout. And a full-service staff is ready to help

you access the materials and information you need. When you can’t

visit the library in person, online databases mean you can access a

world of information and study aids right from your laptop or your

home or office computer.

WITH A $6.2 MILLION RENOVATION, the state-of-the-art MCC-Riley Workforce Development Center fuels the local economy by serving businesses, industry and individuals. Programs provide continuing education, credentialing and customized workforce training.

There’s nothing like collegiate athletics in the South. At MCC,

sports are a big part of campus life, and the community rallies around

our Eagle teams. Student-athletes represent MCC in 11 sports as

members of the NJCAA in the Mississippi/Louisiana region. All teams

compete at the Division I or Division II level, which means we’ve built

competitive programs that attract some of the region’s most talented

for fun, too! It’s a place to connect with new friends who share your

interests and life stage, and it’s a chance to spread your new wings. With

more than 30 campus clubs, organizations and special interest groups,

there’s something for everyone here.

The Quave Student Life Center is the hotspot for campus events and

hanging out with friends. And the Damon Fitness Center is your place

to recharge with a workout routine ranging from cardio and weightlifting

to dance classes, swimming and more. Meet up with friends for lunch in

the cafeteria and form study groups or practice sessions with classmates

across campus.

Music is a big deal here. We’re one of the few colleges

in the state with two choirs and two bands. Open to

music majors and non-majors, these groups offer

dynamic experience and camaraderie.

Our high-energy show choir is known for original

contemporary arrangements with a live band and

local choreographer, featuring a wide range of styles.

The MCC Concert Choir features a choral repertoire

of various genres. They perform on campus, with the

Meridian Symphony Orchestra and also at the MACJC

State Choral Festival. The MCC Jazz Band and the MCC

Concert Band are instrumental ensembles that have

performed at major national events and they support

the local community arts culture with lively,

high-caliber events.

complements the University Transfer program and

who complete graduation requirements for the Honors

College will be awarded an Honors College diploma

and will be eligible to transfer into an honors college at
