    FIND THE TWIN PICTUREObjective:

    To practice expressing positions of objects, prepositions of place: next to, under, on top of,

    on the right/left side, in front of Asking and answering Yes-No questions, WH-questions,etc.

    To practice active listening

    To develop inclusion and class participation

    Directions: this set will work for a group of 26 students, but you can use it with smaller groups aswell. Make sure all pictures distributed have their corresponding twin picture. Tel students no to letthe others see their picture. They must circulate in the group asking and answering questions inorder to find the person who has a picture that is identical to the one they got. e.g.

    A: Is your cat black?

    B: Yes, it is

    A: Is it standing next to the tree?

    B: No, it isn't (They should leave and ask somebody else)

    The first pair to find their twin picture is the winner. They must raise their hands and shout: Twinpictures! They should stay together and practice describing their picture. E.g. In our picture there is a

    white dog next to a tree. The bird is also white. It is standing on top ot the tableetc.

    Variation: if you want students to practice Wh-questions, have students ask:

    A: What color is the apple in your picture?

    B: Its white

    A: Mine too, Where is it?

    B: Under the table.

    A: Mine isnt (They should leave and ask somebody else)
