Premier of Ontario - Première ministre de l’Ontario

April 4 – 5, 2017

A Personal Message from the Premier On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I am delighted to extend warm greetings to everyone attending the GLOBE Capital 2017 summit on Financing the 21st Century. As a forward-looking government, my colleagues and I are putting in place measures today that will help us address the challenges of tomorrow. The 2017 Long-Term Report on the Economy, released this past February, highlights how the investments our government is making will help support inclusive economic growth and address the demographic and economic trends of the coming decades. By developing a highly skilled workforce, making health care more accessible and efficient, building modern infrastructure and supporting business innovation and growth, the report shows that Ontario is in a position to grow and experience greater prosperity for years to come. I want to thank all those who have been instrumental to the success of this conference, including the organizers, the generous sponsors, and the distinguished speakers. I also want to extend a special welcome to the delegates who have travelled to Toronto — I hope you enjoy the city’s restaurants, exciting attractions, and vibrant cultural life. Please accept my best wishes for what I am sure will be two memorable days of lively and productive discussion.
