All above systems are very cheaper but inefficient.

    It requires more hard work.

    Very time consuming methods.

    Pulley System :

    Water drawn

    from well

    Chain System :

    Metallic circular

    disc are used for

    carrying water

    through well

    Lever System :

    Animals are used

    to pullout water

    from well.

Farmers get 8-9 hours of electricity per day.

Maximum power is given for industrial work.

Farmers get 3 phase power supply mostly in evening time or

    night time.

Electricity is not provided in outskirt of town.

Stealing electricity when it is not provided at low cost.

    5/18

Lack of water resources and its utilization Non-uniformity in rain water.

    Unnecessary use of ground water.

Lack of adequate maintenance of existing water infrastructure.

Lack of water management in rural areas.

Humidity problems Now a days farmers use ditch irrigation system in which excess amount

of water is used and which can rob the nutrients of soil.

Can face immediate and ever growing risk of increase crop failure.

Automatic irrigation system based on timer(Irrigation Controller).

To Control water flow through valves.

By using solar energy we can get the electricity where it is rarely

    available.

To save the soil from excessive water which can rob the soil

    nutrients.

    To reduce Man power work.

Solar panels will be used consisting of Photovoltaic for generation

    of solar power.

This solar power is stored in the battery for the irrigation purpose.

This will work on DC current.

Control Valves will be used to control the flow of water for opening

or closing in response to timers.

    Simple to design and install.

    Useful in all climatic conditions.

    Increases productivity.

    Reduces water consumption.

    Less manpower is required.

    Reduce soil erosion and leaching.

Reduce plant disease by keeping foliage dry.

    Beauty of the landscape.

    Require smaller water sources.

Solar energy is available free of cost and in plenty of amount.

    15/18

    Equipment is costlier.

    Require frequent maintenance.

    limited life of plastic components.

    Less Reliability.

    Solar Panel will cost more.

    Application

    Irrigation in Agricultural fields.

Irrigation in gardens, parks and golf fields.

Used where large acres of land is involved.

Solar energy generated can be used for lightning in farm.

    Future Expansion

Solar sensor can be included to bring automation in irrigation system.

A solar tracking device can also be used to get the maximum solar power.

Electricity generated by solar panel we can have a lightning system in farm.

A GSM module can be used to get the report on the Irrigation system.
