1. How successful was the final project? Explain your answer.

The final projects of my class are IGiving and IHelmets project that gained a great success. These

projects are last but not least because of each project achieved almost its valuable meanings. Firstly,

IGiving project was successful on sharing and sympathizing with unlucky people, our gifts were gave

directly to Dong Phuong Yen people such as: poor and disabled people, especially the elders who are

facing many difficulties in their lives. When I was participating in the project, I saw people who were

received these gifts were very happy and appreciated our kindness with our projects, they said thank you

a lot our team and our professors. Moreover, we had a careful preparation before starting IGiving project

by moving all I Giving's gifts to Dong Phuong Yen Village on Saturday (11/7). As a member of logistics

team, I took part in moving and checking the number of these gifts, and then brought them to the project

for unlucky people. Secondly, IHelmets project achieved successfully its meaning that raising the

awareness about wearing helmets for the safety's children when they are moving by motorbikes on

streets. We received good responds from children and their parents, who were very happy to have

helmets that will certainly protect them from traffic accidents. Besides, teachers from Dong Phuong Yen

school said that our activities were valuable and meaningful for the society, even they encouraged us to

continue do these in next time. Furthermore, I also realized that our final projects brought a wonderful

impression to everybody, because of these projects created great impact on not only Dong Phuong Yen

people and us-Is students but also on our society. From these results, I believe that our class has done

successfully two final projects.

2. What are three words you would use to describe this project? Why?

In my opinion, three words I would use to describe these projects are: exciting, successful

and meaningful. At the beginning of these two projects, the first word I thought about is

"meaningful" because of I agreed for the ideas of these project that I thought they are practical

and helpful for unlucky people. I knew that giving gifts such as: cooking oils, packages of salt,

fish sauce and clothes is one of the good ways to share and decrease their troubles and

difficulties. In fact, Dong Phuong Yen village likes other villages in Vietnam, where there are

many poor and unlucky people, some of them are old, sick, disabled and unable to live a normal

live, and other people are living with low income and can not pay for their cost of living.

Therefore, our class really wanted to give them meaningful gifts as a hand to help and encourage

people to overcome the troubles in their lives. During the projects' time, the second word to

describe my emotion is "exciting". I found myself enjoy in all the activities of IGiving and

IHelmets project. I was very exciting on putting stickers, logos on helmets, it was enjoyable

work but also needed to do it carefully. My class had time to do this job together and it was fun

time with us. As a member of IHelmets team, I was very happy to take part in the preparation on

Saturday mooring by going to the village and moving all necessary materials and gifts with other

my classmates. Moreover, the Sunday morning was a wonderful day with all member in my

class. I gave a hand to move gifts, wear helmets for children and help old people to receive their

gifts as much as I could, so our program would be occurred on time. Last but not least,

"successful" is the word I want to say about the result of our projects. From all positive responds

from people in the village like unlucky people, teachers, children and their parents, we knew that

our projects put a great impact on them. They appreciated and encouraged us to do more projects

like the projects we had done, so we gained our main purpose that is giving a hand to make our

society better. From these reasons, "meaningful", "exciting", and "successful" are three words I

would use if I talk about our projects.

3. What were you feelings and emotions during the event and when we finished the event?

My feelings and emotions are different and change a lot, during IGiving and IHelmets

projects and when we finished these events

As I told above, I got excitement as the feeling during these projects were occurring because all

jobs were attractive me. For example, putting logos on helmets was the first time I did it and I

was really enjoy it, and I did not forget the responsibility of putting them correctly and carefully.

Furthermore, when I was taking a task to organize game show with other friends for the

children in the event, I had fun with my job because the game was played a role as a relax time

for children during the event. Moreover, during the IGiving project, I felt my self was helpful for

helping poor family and old people to receive their gifts correctly. And during the IHelmets I

helped children to get their helmets by moving the helmets and wearing them on children' head.

Then my emotions was continuing to change from happy to being proud of my self when these

project was finished. I realized that our projects were really helpful and meaningful to every

body and our society, so I hope that there will be many projects like these we had done in the

next time to help others who are more unlucky than us.

4. What have you learned about community service since the beginning of this course?

At the beginning of Experiental Learning subject, I has thought about community service as a simple

definition that are community payback through activities will be done by an individual or an

organization. However, during all the projects, I had changed my mind because I experienced all of them

in the first time I do community service. First is I Repair project that I learnt community service could

be small things such as: cleaning up, fixing environment around me(here is all my class rooms), but

created great impact (these class rooms look newer, tidy and clean . Making the environment beside me

become better and help others to do the same work is one of the good ways to payback for our

community. Second is IHonor project that I learnt community service could be a commemoration day

for people who sacrificed their live to next generations' peace. So, organizing a for young people to

respect and remember their national heroes is really necessary and meaningful for every nation. And this

is also a valuable community service. The last projects are IGiving and IHelmets also are practical and

helpful community service that my class has done successfully. From these projects, I realized that

although community service could be performance at difference form, like an activities or an event or a

service, it is also to create a contribution, to give a hand to make our society better.

5. How have your ideas about planning and organizing changed during this course?

From the beginning of planning and organizing each project, I did not change much my ideas

because I communicated, shared my opinions with my classmates from the starting, so I also came with

the agreement at that time. Then we just needed to follow the plans that we had gave before.

6. What are the most important things you have learned in this course?

There are three most important things I have learnt in this course. Firstly, I learned that team work is

a essential skill for everybody because it help us become more stronger, work more effective and gain

more successful. Secondly, I learnt that communication skill is necessary in almost jobs because we can

exchange our opinions and take less time to find out the solution for any problem. The last one I learnt

from this course is working in confidence. To have confidence in work, we need to have good and carful

preparation in every jobs. Moreover, we tend to trust more in people who has confidence in their jobs

and with the confidence we will achieve success and best results in every projects.

7. How can you apply what you have learned in this course to your career and your life in the future?

This course taught valuable lessons. Firstly, I think that doing community service is always

necessary with everybody, because that means we know where we live in and how would we improve

our environment, then every one will have a better life. Secondly, when I am in my career, I will

remember to remind me and others to do community service. If they do not want, I will try to convince

them, because any community service should be supported by all the members in this community that

will create great strength to gain highest results. Thirdly, from this course I learnt the strength of team

work that brings the best quality for many works. Especially, if all members in team give a hand together

to change the environment and help unlucky people, we will have a better community as soon as

possible. Therefore, I will work on team with people more than work by my self only, because it will

help the work more effective and successful.
