"Jennie Finch Biography" Jock Bio. Black Book Partners, 2008. Web. 12 May 2010.
Jennie became an incredible softball player. Her dad immersed himself in softball and became Jennie’s personal coach. At age nine, she started playing in traveling league teams. As a member of the 10-and-under all-star team, Jennie and her family traveled to a different diamond anywhere in Southern California. When she turned twelve, she was a part of the 12-and-under traveling team, the California Cruisers, and led them to the 12-and-under American Softball Association national title in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her 14-and-under ASA team captured the national title in 1995 (“Jennie Finch Biography”).

King Hamlet "The Ghost" Character Analysis• Hamlet's deceased father• Comes back in the garden to speak to Hamlet• Informs Hamlet of his real death
o Claudius poisons him o Wants the throne
• Wants Hamlet to seek revenge on Claudius• Hamlet can't decide if it is a demon ghost or an angel ghost • Ends up believing him and tries to plot against Claudius to make
him tell the truth• The play shows Claudius' reaction• Never find out if The Ghost is good or bad, but it seems to be
telling the truth in the end
Why I chose The Ghost..
• Wrote my journals in The Ghost's perspective• Helped me understand his meaning in the play • I felt like although he didn't have a major part in the play, the little
he did was very significant
Metaphors Used in Anthem
• Anthemo anthem to self o the individual human being who realizes his glorified state of
existence and uses it to his own advantage o lets a person be who they want to beo no restrictions to live their life
• Electric Boxo more than just the key to the plot developmento rediscovery of electricity epitomizes Rand's belief in individual
human potentialo refers back to Anthem as a metaphor
Anthem Metaphors
• Nameso the names of characterso Equality
never really finds equality of himselfo Liberty
represents love, hope and happiness she brings all of those aspects to Equlity
"Only in an individualistic, rational, objective world, can the flawed aims of collectivism be debunked." - Ayn Rand

Propaganda Techniques
Bandwagon• Most common• Trying to convince the
subject that one side is the winning side, because more people have joined it
Card Stacking• Presents only the good
information• Omits the bad, yet important
information
Lesser of Two Evils• Makes a person decide on the
better object• If presented with only the one
object, the person may shy away easier without being compared otherwise
Testimonials• Makes the buyer believe what
is said in a quotation or endorsement
• Thinks whatever happened to them could happen to themselves
Parting Thoughts
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the
bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
- Mark Twain
