Instagram is an online photo-sharing and social networking

service that enables its users to take pictures, apply digital fil-

ters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking

services, such as Facebook or Twitter. A distinctive feature is

that it confines photos to a square shape, in contrast to the

16:9 aspect ratio now typically used by mobile device cameras.

Using Never heard of it

I asked 20 people if they use or have an Insta-

gram. 70% of them have an Instagram and

use it and and the other 30% never heard of

Instagram. “I like Instagram its very fun be-

cause I like to take pictures and post it.” says

some of the people that have Instagram.

Once you are done finding the picture you want to

post, click on Name this location before you post the

picture. You can connect your location to Instagram

and it will show you where you are exactly instead of

writing it!

Men post pictures

on Instagram each

day!

Women post pictures

on Instagram each day!

To deactivate your Instagram you need to go on to a

computer and log into your Instagram. You cannot de-

activate it on your phone. After you log in you need to

choose a reason why you want to deactivate your ac-

count. Last, you need to type in your Instagram pass-

word and then press enter. Now your account is delet-

ed.

You can literally take a picture of

anything and post it on Instagram.

On the top bar on an Insta-

gram page it says how

many people FOLLOW

YOU and how many people

YOU FOLLOW.

If you click on the followers

you will get a list of the peo-

ple that follow you and IF

you follow them back too.

You don't have to follow

people back just because

they follow you.

You can choose

whether you want

your photos to be pri-

vate or public.

If you choose to have

your photos be private,

then people have to

REQUEST access to your

profile. You can either ac-

cept the request or

deny it.

Instagrams effect on students is posi-

tive and negative. The positive part is

that it helps us find a way of creativity

through photography. The negative ef-

fect is students spending too much

time on Instagram and less time on

school work.
