Final Abyss

Alex rider and zack

• Alex Rider is a young spy which relates to the character of Zack as he becomes a spy at a young age and lost his parents when he was even younger. The character relates to Zack in other ways through his character as he has a slight arrogance and believes that he has a skill above other spies. Alex is similar to Zack as they are both very talented as young spies especially in the field of combat.

cLASS

My target audience of my product would be that of every class as my product appeals to aspects of all types of lifestyles. I have represented the upper/upper middle class within my product through my protagonist by his way of speech and intelligence. Similarly I have orchestrated my protagonist clothing to be applicable to both working class and middle class by means of keeping wardrobe simple and not alienating any groups out due to superiority of clothing or brands.

Race

Although my protagonist is white. The aim of my product is not to appeal to a particular race nor to follow in any previous stereotypes.

The narrative of the story consists of various villains however unlike most spy films the villains are not all Black, Russian, Arab or South American I have challenged these stereotypes and as a result most of the villains are white Europeans breaking social media injustice of racial stereotypes which are very common in man espionage films such as the James Bond Franchise and Storm breaker.

Age The protagonist is a 20.In my product the stereotype that young people are stronger and more intelligent is fully supportive by the narrative where the main character battles and defeats various older villains by means of physical combat and mental enigmas. Which is shown as the protagonist outsmarts his way into his the villains factory defeats his goon and has him cornered with a gun. This is all a representation of my product breaking the stereotype that old people are much smarter and reinforcing the stereotype that young people are stronger. The character of James Bond is one of the oldest spy characters in film, the character of Zack relates to him as they both have an arrogance and disobey the rules appointed to them. They have many similarities as they are both characters part of the secret service and both skilled in the field of combat. Zack is different to Bond as Zack is a much more casual looking character and wears casual clothes instead of expensive suits.

GENDER

My production confirms the stereotype that man are stronger than women, this is shown through the fact there are no female criminal masterminds throughout the narrative or female goons for example during the warehouse scene in my product. This is very similar to many other spy films such as Alex rider. This gives my product a very masculine feel which reinforces the type of audience which are predominantly male. I confirm the common representation that men are powerful. In my opening sequence I portray the male protagonist to have power as he battles with a evil goon to find his way to the antagonist.

Sexuality

The sexuality I portrayed in my production is heterosexual as this is traditional and may be similar to that of my target audience. This can be seen through the masculine role as the young spy which my protagonist has This also reinforces the stereotype that men are seen as masculine
