TutorialSetting Up Your New Macbook Pro
Welcome:
After you power on your Macbook Pro for the first time, you will be greeted with a Welcome screen that looks like this. Go ahead and select your country, then click “Continue”. Select your Keyboard on the next screen.
Selecting your WiFi Network:
If you have a wireless network set up, go ahead and connect to it at this time, otherwise click “Continue”

Transfer Information to This Mac:
Choose “Not Now” then click “Continue”.
Apple ID:
Enter your Apple Id if you already have one. You may have one of you use iTunes, or the App Store, then click “Continue”.
If you do NOT have an Apple ID, click on “Create a free Apple ID”. Fill out the required information, then click “Continue”.
Enable Location Services:
Click the box to enable Location Services, then click “Continue”.

Terms and Conditions:
Agree to the Terms and Conditions, then click “Continue”.
Creating your User Account:
Fill in the appropriate information to create your Computer Account. Click “Continue”.
Make sure you use a password that you will remember. This password is key when installing Applications and doing other things on MacOs.
Time Zone:
Click where you reside on the map. This will set your time zone in the system, then click “Continue”.

Registration:
If the Setup Assistant prompts you to Register, please do so. Fill out the information, then click “continue”
Congratulations:
You have completed the Setup process and you may begin using your new Macbook Pro. Click on “Start using your Mac”
Additional Registration:
You can add your Macbook Pro to your Apple ID using it’s Serial Number. This will link any repairs that may be needed in time, and provide a copy of your Serial Number incase of loss or theft.
