FILM TRAILER – STORYBOARD 2 Media Studies A2
The trailer begins with the central protagonist 1 (Alice) and central protagonist 2 (Maggie) stepping
into the shower.. We will use artificial lighting in this shot.
SHOT 1
SHOT 2
The second shot shows Alice wiping away the condensation to reveal her face. We will again use
artificial lighting in this shot.
SHOT 3
The third shot shows both Alice and Maggie in the shower
together, this is the first time the viewers see Maggie.
NEW SHOT
SHOT 4
In this shot Alice will be shown in a school setting, with a wide shot
used to establish the setting.
SHOT 5
This shot shows Alice seeing Maggie from afar, we may choose
to do this shot with Brad in it.

SHOT 6
In this shot we can see from Alice’s perspective and she is
seeing Maggie and Brad walking together away from her.

Dismemberment shots of Alice and Maggie
SHOT 8
This shot shows Alice and Maggie lying on a bed together. There will be several short clips all showing
different angles/lighting.
SHOT 9
3 girls, Alice is in the middle, the girls either side are kissing her
cheeks and taking general pictures. Sound bridge to another shot, with the dialogue “do you
ever wonder what| their reaction will be”.
(‘|’ represents a change in shot)
SHOT 10
Shows Alice finishing off her sentence as she looks up towards Maggie, who is now her girlfriend.
This is all seen from Maggie’s point of view, with an over the
shoulder shot.
SHOT 11
Brad, Maggie’s ex-boyfriend, finds out about Maggie’s secret relationship with Alice. He
becomes the ring leader of social media bullying towards Alice. Over
the shoulder shot of a computer with nasty online posts about
Alice, then a reaction shot to the posts.
SHOT 12From now on, shots become a lot shorter and faster to mirror Alice’s psychological
state
Maggie and Alice are arguing about the social media posts. Minimal dialogue used, music
becomes louder. Shot reverse shot or breaking of the 180° rule, to
highlight the ciaos of the situation and symbolises change.

Alice is looking through social media posts and comments on her
computer
SHOT 14
Back to a shot of Alice and Maggie in the shower.
NEW SHOT
SHOT 15
To contrast the last show of Alice and Maggie in an intimate setting,
a shot of Maggie and Brad will then be shown.

More shots of negative social media comments.
SHOT 17
More shots of Alice and Maggie lying on the bed.

Back to a shot of Alice and Maggie in the shower.

Alice and Maggie are together, possibly on a bed again, and Alice says to Maggie “all has changed since | loving you”. Before her
sentence ends the shot changes, and the sentence is finished on
the next shot. (‘|’ represents a change in shot)

Title appears whilst Alice finishes her sentence.
