Purpose

This questionnaire has seven questions which include questions such as how old or

what the gender an individual is to what technical elements would attract a person to watch a particular film. The purpose of this questionnaire is what our target audience,

from the age range 15 and above, would like to see in our horror teaser trailer and how we are able to wrap their answers around

our story plot of our horror film.

Our questionnaire was answered by females more than males so our questionnaire might not be fully representative but our age group is more distributed thus our demographics especially for the age would be representative.

Would you be fine to watch scenes which involves violence and gore?

Even though we have more people that wanted violence and gore in films, the percentage between ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ is near so it is not enough to incorporate violence and gore in our teaser trailer. So, despite these statistics being valuable for the research of our teaser trailer, we will not put violence and gore in our teaser trailer.

Which factor do you like in a Horror film?

The most predominant factor that our target audience like in a Horror film is suspense but both the factor, Horror and Action, have a combination of 50%. So, we hope to have some incorporation of Horror and Action in our teaser trailer but it will mostly be suspense in our teaser trailer.

What is your favourite horror film?

The most popular film chosen by our audience is ‘The Forest’ with 50% of our audience of 20 people. But, the evident code and conventions shown in the Forest would be shown in our teaser trailer but we hope to incorporate code and conventions from other Horror films in this question also.

What would catch your attention in a horror teaser? In this last question, we have noticed that Montages keep our target audience interested when watching a teaser trailer. But, reality contrast and chase scene have a total combination of 51% so we hope to use those factors as well. With the Other answer, there were multiple different answers so we will not take these differing individual answers into account.
