The aspect ratio must correspond to specified print size or cropping will occur.Triple check files in photoshop. We can’t be held accountable for files setup in lightroom that aren’t correctly sized. e.g. cropped then not exported as cropped or client requested 11x14 inch, but sent in square files.

No RAW files accepted.

Whether you need us to scan a 35mm negative, or make a digital copy of a piece of artwork, we can do it all.We price depending on the resolution required, and which device is used, so film scanners for negatives and slides, and flatbed or Hasselblad camera for prints and artwork copies. No colour correction or retouching is normally applied, so ask for a quote if you require retouching spotting. See our website for more information about the scanners and quality. The Hasselblad X5 is world renowned for quality. With the ability to scan film while under tension, similar to a drum scanner, this scanner achieves super-sharp scans, from all film formats up to 5x4. Scans are fully spotted and colour corrected to 16bit Adobe RGB (1998).

We offer a ‘Process Only’ service as standard, then all services are based on scanning and then printing from the resulting files. So if you want a standard colour film printed 6”x4”, then you also receive a Disc with a ‘Frontier Proof Scan’ of each frame.

An example of how you would calculate the cost of one roll of film with 6” x 4” inch prints : Standard Process ($14) + SMALL - Frontier Proof scans ($13) + SMALL - Printed Proof Set ($10) = $37

ENLARGEMENTS & RE-PRINTS For larger prints from film we will treat the job as a scan + digital photographic print.Find the quality of scan from our scanning price list, and then add a Photographic Print. A True B&W Darkroom Print. The need for density correction, and any dodge/burn, is evaluated by our experienced printer.

Re-usable Hinged MatA hinged mat is a backing of 5 mm foam core or mat board with a hinged mat attached to the front. The print is tacked in place between the two, so you can open and replace the print later. Not to be used for permanent framing or display, as the print may ripple over time.

Permanent Sealed MatA sealed mat is produced by permanently mounting the print to card or foam core, and then gluing the mat over the print. Both card and mat are trimmed flush to each other, making it almost impossible to get to the print without damage.
