The image uses Guttenbergs design principle of The Rule of Thirds as the male character is situated just over half of the image. This shows his power and importance.

Direct address to the audience shows the characters power and authority and captures the audience’s attention.

Formal balance between the amount of text and the image size. The sparks of fire have connotations

of danger which is a convention of the thriller genre.
