Film opening analysis Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol: The conventions of a film opening which were shown were the use of the company indents with the showing of their own production and distribution company, however the film opening did not show the directors, actor names and other information about who is going to be in the film or who had made the film which is common type of convention for most action films which they mainly show towards the end of the film or in the second scene to allow for the audience to be hooked from the start. The types of MECS shown in the opening scene were mainly the mise-en-scene which is the same for most action films since this is what allows the audience to know what the storyline is going to have a base on such as the in which the character shown in the opening sequence had a pistol which has a silencer which can show that whatever the person is seeking is of importance and cannot be allowed to be captured and then the use of a gadget which allowed him to have a safe landed emphasized that the character is being based upon a spy. I think the second most important thing which is displayed in the scene is the use of sound since when a person can hear the sound shots it seems more realistic compared to having no sound in the scene, while also having a soundtrack which is used can build up tension such as the way the music went quieter as the scene turned changed from the point when the character had landed on the floor and picked up as he was slowly walking to assassin. The aspects of MECS which I find that usually is not shown as much in opening scenes is Editing and Camerawork, the main aspects of these which is shown is the establishing shot to show the audience where the scene is located. The editing which I felt was the only thing worth noting is the shot reverse shot of when the character jumped off the building and had aimed at the people and it went back to his face as the antagonists had died. The following features which I had felt which were displayed more are the genre, character and a slight aspect of narrative. The opening scene displays the genre is a mixed view since they display the genre as action first since they show fast paced editing and a gun fight which can suggest it is an action film, however soon after

Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol:The conventions of a film opening which were shown were the use of the company indents with the showing of their own production and distribution company, however the film opening did not show the directors, actor names and other information about who is going to be in the film or who had made the film which is common type of convention for most action films which they mainly show towards the end of the film or in the second scene to allow for the audience to be hooked from the start.

The opening scene displays the genre is a mixed view since they display the genre as action first since they show fast paced editing and a gun fight which can suggest it is an action film, however soon after that the use of a gadget to jump of the building showed that the film was a spy movie. The narrative was another thing which was shown is that the movie is going to be about retrieving the information that the assassins had stolen and that they would display assassins in movie. I think the things which feature was shown in character was the use of death to show that they film would display various amounts of violence and near ending scenes which would show people being murdered or close calls.
