5FILM+ is an alternative program supporting independent

low budget film productions, accessible to anyone interested, with the aim to provide young artists with a platform for creative and practical aid.

The FILM+ concept is quite simple: if you're a young (spirited) film creator and you need help with your project, FILM+ provides the professionals to guide you on the artistic concept (script development, directorial concept, production design, etc.) as well as providing the physical resources necessary - from shooting equipment to post processing studios, and even members to fill in the team, when needed.

After the first three editions the program grew in popularity throughout Europe, and from 2019 it will open its gates to projects from neighbouring countries, for starters - Serbia, Bulgaria and Moldova, in an attempt to build a filmmakers' community able to sustain its own projects.

The story of an lift attendant who, following a car accident, becomes claustrophobic. In order to keep his job he tries to find a way to treat his anxiety without telling anyone about his new condition. After a few failed attempts, he creates his own therapy system through music and initiates the concept of "elevator music".

as a copywriter and currently as a

freelancer. In 2017 she took part in the

Screenplay Workshop organised by the

Calea Victoriei Foundation, where she

started writing the script for "Ding!"

Ana and her mother, Cosima, haven’t talked to each other for 10 years, since Ana’s father had passed away and she had to take care of him. When Ana receives a letter from her mother, she decides to accept her invitation to spend a couple of days in her house by the sea. On the background of an ending summer, each will try to tell the other all that was left unsaid in the previous years.

Mădălina NegreaA movie buff since childhood, Mădălina

had always wanted to make movies

but felt too easily discouraged. In

the meantime, she studied Foreign

Languages and Psychology. Since 2014

she begins to approach scriptwriting

more seriously and starts studying it on

her own at first and then, together with

Petru, she attends various scriptwrit-

ing classes and workshops, where

they write the first draft for Nero.

singer and guitarist for bands like

VĂDUVABOB, Uma Swan and Faunlet.

Driven by his deep love for cinema,

since 2014, together with Mădălina,

he starts taking things to another

The silent night is the background of a conflict in which Pavel is a potential victim of a character from another world. It is a story about a mysterious encounter in which the main character will not be able to answer certain burdensome questions.

The visit of her elder sister, along with her husband and 6 year old daughter, disturb Maria’s lonely life in the coutryside family house. The intrusive presence of the couple fuel the tension between the two sisters, unearthing emotions long since repressed. At the same time, the familiarity of the child – estranged in turn and hungry for affection – resurfaces Maria’s dormant femininity.

This is a story about a man at a crossroads in his life, a very difficult moment where he has to reorganize his priorities. He has just been kicked out of the apartment by his wife, and shocked by this turn of events, he keeps coming back to the apartment building, waiting for the right moment to talk to her face to face.

A young man drowned in a river, but his body was never found. His father is searching for his body every day on the shore. A special intervention party is searching the river in an emergency boat. Four young men talk about the accident that occurred several weeks before. Meanwhile, the river still flows, but the scenery and atmosphere change dramatically.

A short black comedy in a Bucharest apartment. The main characters: Mihai, a chemist madly in love with his ex girlfriend; Tudor, a plastic surgeon who meddles in the lives of his patients; Sara, the woman who recently got out of the tormenting relationship with Mihai and who wants to live her life freely. Also Eryx, Sara’s dog who exposes the affair between her and the surgeon.

For November 15 and 16 the organizers have prepared an open discussion on the theme „Film strategy and distribution for festivals”, held by the international specialists Marcin Łuczaj (New Europe Film Sales) and Wouter Jansen (Some Shorts). On the same dates, participants from the Work-in-Progress section will benefit from one-on-one sessions with the aforementioned guests. The evening of November 15 is dedicated to FILM+ shorts screening, followed by a networking event with all participants, alumni from previous editions, collaborators, partners and professionals.
