Non Uniform FridaysToday we raised £130 for School Funds. Our next non uniform day is Friday 1st December. All donations for the remainder of the term will be used to purchase items for our Christmas hampers.

Open Day

We are having an Open Day on Wednesday 29th November from 9.30-11am to welcome Reception 2018 new starters and any other children who may want to join our school. We would like to encourage as many new parents to attend and ask that you spread the word to your family and friends.

Thank you to Year 5 who have been out in the local community delivering leaflets today to promote our Open Day.

Well done to those children in Year 3 & 4 who took part in the spelling competition at Boarshaw today against Elmwood and Alkrington.

Congratulations to Alkrington who came first.

Out next spelling competition against the above schools is next Friday 1st December at Alkrington and we will be represented by our star spellers in Year 5 & 6.Good luck to them.

Year 6 are going to see ‘Wonder’ at the cinema on Thursday 7th December. Please ensure you return your consent form by Monday 27th November. This trip is free of charge due to our non-uniform fundraising days.

Christmas Activities

Letters have gone out this week to invite children to Supper with Santa, Movie Night and our party lunch on Wednesday 20th December. Please return all reply slips and payment by Friday 1st December so that we can organise catering.

If any parents can help out on Movie Night on 5th December please contact the office.

Weather!

Now that the weather has changed can we remind you that all children must come to school with a coat. Please send a hat, scarf and gloves when it is cold and children should wear sensible black school shoes at all times.

Christmas Hampers

If any parents are available next Friday 1st December to make up hampers for us to raffle for Christmas please contact the office on Monday.
